Those guys at VoguePay were most unkind. They kept giving flimsy excuses even though we met every of their criteria and much more.

Their support line is another issue.

You need to download a Floating Menu Module. Some templates come with them.

You check the URLs below for such Menu Module

Return the Listen to 80 and retry. Remember, it's localhost that you've type into your browser when you use Listen 80.

You can scan the thread to see other ports that you can use.

Great to have you around.

Please what's the exact issue that you're experiencing?

i changed my listen code from 80 to 8080 then i wanted to restart the Apache but it said that another application is using 8080.

Then secondly, i typed "Localhost: 8080" in my mozilla browser it said problem loading page. So i Don't know what else to do.

Note: i am trying to install the joomla in offline i.e in computer not online. Thanks in advance

I did talk about security but you didn't read it...see what I wrote earlier on security..

ZinoFego: 9:16pm On Oct 31, 2013

Security
Here are some steps to secure your Joomla website.

1. Website backup: Have a back of your website from time to time. Do rely on your host to do it for you, do it yourself!

2. Infested computer: Malware, spyware and other computer infections account for vast majority of websites hack. Please ensure that your computer is infections free
because you may be uploading infested files from your computer if it is not free, thereby making your website vulnearable to attacks.

3. Old unused extensions: If you are not making use of any extension, please delete it now!

4. Badly coded third party extensions: Please read the review of all of your third party extensions before you install them into your website.

5.Cheap/Free Host. Some cheap and Free hosting company cramp very many websites together, and if any website in that server is attacked, all other websites in the
server may be infected.

6. Restrict user's priveledges: If you have a forum or allow uploads for any reason, please set restrictions on the file types, file sizes and in your .htaccess file,
use clever coding to detect common exploit terms.

7. Keep Joomla core files up to date: Please ensure that you are running the latest version of Joomla at all times, keep your extensions up to date as well.

8. Weak Joomla Administrator Password: First rename the Administrator's username from admin to something you can remember. Then choose a password that is a combination
of different characters.

9. Giving away your Joomla logi information: If you are soliciting for support, please ensure whom you are dealing with before letting go of your login details.

10. No security measure for a Joomla website: Database prefix, super admin ID, upload limit, blocking terms in URLs, block all SQL injections. Some of these are basic, some are complicated and should be done by a Joomla professional.

From my point of view, if you are a serious business person and you have not implemented these and other Joomla security measures, you are begging to be hacked and being ridiculed. I have been there, it is not a palatable place to be.

Okebarn:

boss, you havent spoken on SECURITY, its very important we know how to secure our site from hackers.

Next, you will copy the JoomlaTraining folder to the a subfolder called www in your AMPPS folder. By default, AMPPS would be installed to your c:\ drive. This means the JoomlaTraining will be in this path. c:\Ampps\www\JoomlaTraining.

1. See the above, which folders are inside your AMPPS folder?
2. In you type localhost or localhost:8080 as the case may be in your browser, what do you see?

You don't need C++ to run AMPPS.

Greg007:

bros good morning o, I'm having problem installing joolma. I can't see the subfolder www. in my ampp folders and do I need c++ to run ampp properly?

If you're a newbie and wants to create something marketable urgently, you may require professional help.

But if it's a learning project, put a similar site side by side yours and fill your module positions. Don't let the site you're imitating be too complicated. Download free very beautiful images to make your site. There are sites that would help with designing your logo for free.

A bit at a time.

thank you for your response sir, I have tried 2 figure thing out by previewing the module position but am at a loss. am using the store front template. Please more insights sir. thanks
Webmasters / Re: Atm Card Suspension by ZinoFego: 11:57am On Oct 19, 2016
So if the guy's PayPal was opened in Nigeria, then getting a Nigeria ATM like that of Gtb will be his only viable option at the moment.

FincoApps:

As at now, NO!!
Webmasters / Re: Atm Card Suspension by ZinoFego: 11:47am On Oct 19, 2016
My question is....can a PayPal account opened in Nigeria receive funds?

FincoApps:

I'm not talking about my card. I'm talking about my PayPal funds. So yes I can, except what I'm paying for exceeds what I have in my PayPal account, then there might be issues.

My point is, if your hosting costs you $100, and I transfer $100 to your PayPal account, you would not have any problem paying
Webmasters / Re: Atm Card Suspension by ZinoFego: 11:30am On Oct 19, 2016
Can you at the moment use your Nigeria ATM card attached to that USA PayPal account to make payment?

FincoApps:

My PayPal account was created in US so yea I receive funds. Contrary to popular belief:

1. I use my Nigerian card for an account that was created in US and it works as expected
2. I do not use any form of vpn and I'm currently in Nigeria and my account still works
Webmasters / Re: Atm Card Suspension by ZinoFego: 8:25am On Oct 19, 2016
Does your Nigeria PayPal account accept funds?

FincoApps:

You can also try using PayPal

Transfer the money to someone with PayPal funds and in turn they transfer the equivalent to your PayPal account

I had the same experience with my First Bank's MasterCard, called its customer care, was told the bank no longer allow foreign currency online purchase using its cards.

Gtb came to my rescue but the card is limited to $100 maximum every month.

You can use Gtb with the aforementioned limitation.

ayodeji1975:
Deposit Money Banks stopped their naira debit cards from dispensing dollars to customers via ATM in foreign countries, as well as disallowed the cards from being used for online and Point of Sale transactions. This affected me today as I was about paying through my card for my website hosting in America. Can anyone advise on the way out please especially those of us who could not do without transacting business online.
