Did you notice that the Interviewer didn't ask any single follow-up question? I guess, this was to make a mockery of the guy... ![]() |
Ops who bring these threads to front page should please format the stories for proper viewing; at least, do paragraphing. This story is all clustered on my screen. |
FTP site or application? Dani4tech: |
Ok. You are probably right but in our age, what I mentioned (internet connection and power) is integral part of our now daily life. I do not think the creators of the past you referred had internet connections or modern days gadgets that require huge amount of power supply. Can you imagine a few years ago how possible for you and someone else somewhere could be having a conversation without even knowing the person or the possibility of ever meeting the person? Practically, everything today is hooked to the internet and power supply. The world has changed, let's move with time. ekenetheorg: |
That's who you're known here, that's what you answer to. I think you should honestly change it. There is power in words...names. IHate9ja1: |
With a Nairaland username (IHate9ja1) such as yours, what good do you expect from the land? IHate9ja1: |
Gbam.... |
Give us electrical power and affordable internet connections and watch us light up the world! |
You can download the documentation directly at http://JoomlaExtended.com/docs/MoojProformsHandbook.zip. adeblow: |
Check your database name, username and user password. Ensure that they match with the database and its user that you created. Please read this page (https://www.nairaland.com/1485054/joomla-free-training-nairaland-live/1) in the tutorial again. Codedboy1: |
I used that extension a long time ago, I do not recall the steps I used. But it comes with a documentation(see here: http://www.mooj.org/en/downloads/doc_download/31-proforms-version-13-pdf-handbook-.html), that should help you. adeblow: |
Cool stuff, but a little technical knowledge of content marketing will improve your understanding of the subject. |
Please let's start all over again. Uninstall AMPPS, restart your system and install AMPPS again into the "Program Files" folder in your "c: drive" and not the "c: drive" itself. Do not alter the configuration file. After installation, just type localhost into your browser. If the problem persist or any other comes up, please do not do anything, just come back here to tell us what it is. tbaby534: |
Awesome !!! Proudly Isoko!!! ![]() @ literarymathy, please change the bolded text "Owho" to "Owhe". Owhe is the right spelling. That's my place. Thanks for the info! literarymathy: |
1. Please change the Listen 8080 back to Listen 80 and save. 2. Restart Apache and MySQL. 3. Type localhost into your browser. tbaby534: |
I ran into a Fatal Error today while trying to update the Joomla version of one of my client's websites that I manage. I was actually just checking around to see how the site's administrator's end was doing when Joomla automatically detected that the version the site was using was old. The upgrade is usually a few clicks and you are on the newest version. I started the process, but at the end where a confirmation message was to show a successful upgrade, it returned error. Sometimes, such error is received for not too serious reason(s). So I simply ignored it hoping to do the upgrade later or download an upgrade copy from Joomla.org and run the upgrade manually. It was when I navigated from the that page that I got hit by the error... No configuration file found and no installation code available. Exiting... I checked the frontend, same error. Ooops....time wasn't on my side and I was like "who send me " Now I must provide a quick fix to this since the site was working very well before "I spoilt it!!!" My client won't be happy.I took a second look at the error, and what was obvious is that the configuration.php is either missing or it's empty. I hit the cPanel of the site and what I noticed first was alarming, the site has ran out of disk space. This could be where the issue started from because, whenever core Joomla files are been upgraded, more disk space is required to complete the upgrade, so since the site ran out of disk space, some files may have been truncated, hence the error. Anyways, this was not so much of a problem, I quickly ran to my hosting platform http://SpringWebHost.com to add more disk space to the site. I clicked at the both the front and backend, the error was still there. Ok. I headed to see the configuration.php file, lol and behold, it was empty!!! Below are the steps I took to manufacture another configuration.php file. 1. I copied a working configuration.php on another website and pasted it into the empty configuration.php of the site that has the error. I need to change some key parameters of the new configuration.php file for it to work, and they are Database Name, Username, Password and Table Prefix. There are other parameters to change in the configuration.php file but the aforementioned are the most crucial. 2. I went to the landing page of my cPanel to click on MySQL Databases and when I got in, there was only one database inside, that's less work for me because I would have been forced to go to phpmyadmin to locate the appropriate database. 3. I copied and replaced the Database name, and Username into the configuration.php file. But for the password of the Username, I had to reset it and then copy it into the configuration.php file. 4. It took me to the phpMyAdmin to get the Table Prefix which I subsequently replaced in the configuration.php file. Then I saved the configuration.php file. When I refreshed my page, the site just popped up. I feel elated and decided to share with you. Hope it was useful. You can ask for further clarifications. |
WordPress can't handle as much products as Joomla when it comes to a detailed eCommerce website. Joomla 3.x is SEO optimized and very mobile friendly. We've been here for two days zeroing in on pros and cons, oh boy, get to work before your client contract someone else. Just share the link so we can follow the process and also contribute where necessary. odicity: |
Yes. Joomla is better than WordPress in Multi-vendor eCommerce Website. odicity: |

I got the form I used for http://PrimeGateSchool.com/ from http://www.mooj.org/en/extensions/components/mooj-proforms/download-basic.html I host all my websites at http://SpringWebHost.com. It is very reliable. adeblow: |
For http://olahospitaljos.org, the extensions that were used are: 1. Hot Clinic Template from http://www.hotjoomlatemplates.com/joomla-templates/253-hot-clinic-joomla-medical-template 2. Acymailing from http://acyba.com 3. Rapid Contact from http://mavrosxristoforos.com/joomla-extensions/free/rapid-contact 4. Simple Gallery from http://joomshaper.com/joomla-extensions 5. K2 from http://www.joomlaworks.net/extensions/free/k2 The site was built using Joomla 3. Improvement: 1. On the homepage: WE CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH should be a Welcome Message instead. 2. Our Mission and Our Goal should remain under About Us in the main menu at the top. 3. The three images under the slide on the homepage should have the same width and height and each image description text should also have the same number of rows to enable all of them align at the bottom. 4. The contact page should have the default Joomla contact form. 5. You should add a Favicon. You can download a component to do that from http://www.phoca.cz/download/category/6-phoca-favicon-component. That should be all for now. andivirus: |
