From your post, she seems okay and a take home to mama kind of girl. However, before you take further steps towards reviving what you shared in the past, try and figure what informed her decision to call it a quit. Perhaps, there are things you aren’t doing just right, find out from her and take the proper steps to grow from you mistakes. On the other hand, it could be that she had a better offer from another bloke, then she dumped you and unfortunately for her, she got burnt and now she wants you guys back again. Just be wise in your decision making bro.

Good luck.

Tatase:
I don't think it's healthy to go into a relationship with a "one person must be the mumu" mentality. I realize that it's human nature to take advantage of people who let you take advantage of them. Think of your friends, there are some who are obviously users and don't remain in the inner friendship circle for long, and then there are others who you have a give-and-take relationship with, and who you're close enough to that if you feel like they're taking advantage of you, you can say it, and they check themselves, and vice-versa.

I don't think there's any need to be setting anti-mumu rules at the start of the relationship. . . like I must win x% of arguments, s/he must be up to no good etc etc. Who wants to live like that? And moreover, who wants to be with someone like that. If your personality is really that cynical and distrustful, then that's you, but it's draining to act that way in a relationship all the time, if genuinely you're not that type of person. You either trust your partner or you don't. You either like him or you don't. And if you don't, then why are you putting yourself through all the anti-mumu stress to be together.

As far as taking the partner for granted and how to avoid things, my biggest suggestion would be to be yourself from the beginning. I know many girls and guys who are really "lions" and "tigers" and like to get their way and not easy-going at all. But when they see a partner they like, they pretend that they're easy going, ah the girl suddenly LOVES cooking for her man (someone who doesn't like to cook before o), everything he says is right, he's too perfect, he can do no wrong. Then the guy gets used to this from her and expects it, and of course because this is not her real personality, it becomes harder and harder and she becomes more and more resentful and feels taken advantage of. If you're not the motherly/caring type, why pretend you are? Be like "dude, I don't like to cook, I hate the kitchen," that way when you do those things, then it's special and he appreciates.
The best answer thus far.

Most times I wonder what these political cabals really take us for. It seems we the citizens don’t realize that for us to succeed as a nation, we must say no to God-fatherism and it-is-my-turn kind of politics and make sure our electoral processes are credible. Come 2011, trust me it’s going to be business as usual and as usual, we shall all swallow it like hot noodles. God please deliver us from the wickedness of these politicians that put their selfish interests first before over 150M Nigerians.

Well said nobilia. I think the man in question is completely sane. At times, if the future appears bleak and insecure, you would be frustrated. When you feel frustrated u act in irrational and unprincipled ways. Cheei, Poor man

Guys, please run for your dear lives ooo. Otherwise you will end up in LUTH queuing for anti-HIV pills.

SEUN, this poster deserves a very harsh penalty; maybe ban her pending a sincere confession and subsequent apology to forumites. Plus 40 days/40 night dry fasting and will break it with 120 basket full of alligator paper.

If we had issues to iron out, we should find out what the issues are, what caused them and how to resolve them equitably.

One primary issue i see in our country is that "in the midst of plenty, a vast number of nigerians are suffering".

In the midst of plenty it takes 12 hours to drive from Lagos to Benin city because of the horrible road. In the midst of plenty, every middle class household owns 2 or 3 generators because there is no electricity. In the midst of plenty, an oil-producing country does not have enough fuel in filling stations. In the midst of plenty, an oil producing country sells a litter of fuel for 130 naira per liter ($4 per gallon). In the midst of plenty 1000 naira telephone card gets you 10 minutes of talk time (77 cents per minute), if the call is not dropped. In the midst of plenty, there is no functional land phone which will facilitate business through data movement (fax, internet and video). In the midst of plenty 99% of Nigerians go hungry daily. Isn’t the price of crude oil gone pass $70 per barrel? Didn’t we base our national annual budget on about $33 per barrel of oil receipt? What happened to all the left-over money? No matter how ordinary this analogy is, it is common sense.

To address all these and other issues, we need good governance that will address people's concerns and interests. We need to Probe the last oil minister in the last 8 years in the name of Mr. Obasanjo and his partners in crime, for spearheading these decays. He should be relieved of the position of Chairman of the board of trustees of their PDD. His being there gives the impression that it is business as usual.

If this illegitimate government can address the questions of electricity, roads, land phone, energy price, water, independent INEC, Independent Judiciary, Professional Police Department, decaying Educational Institutions, Niger Delta concerns, Youth Unemployment, Agriculture and preservation of food, traditional banking industry (not trading banks) and more prisons to hold these criminals that are using the world’s most legalized weapon (the pen) to yahoolize the poor Nigerians and siphon our money abroad thereby giving the Oyibo’s the impression that all Nigerians are criminals, we will have a Nigeria of envy to the whole world.

One Love
