Sagamite: What he is saying is that your career potential is not something that will get you extra points in attracting him, NOT that he does not want you to have one. It is not a necessity or a must to him.
Unlike people like dayokanu that wouldn't consider a girl without a good career. @Abekeade08 I couldn't have said it better than my bro Sagamite. |

Abekeade08: Abi ooh. quite depressing and enlightening.
@zionking---Why is a woman's career potential, the last thing on your list?? Her career potential is not a necessity. I will allow her stay at home and take care of the kids and the house since I can happily provide for the family. It is also open to discussion if she is the career driven type. |

After a month.I bet you,she wouldn't let anyone tell her 2 pack her bags and leave. This happens only in Nollywood movies. |

This situation is playing out like a badly produced nollywood movie and it has gone on for too long. We really need to call for decorum at the villa. If I may ask, what role does the constitution give Turai in directing the affairs of Nigeria?
God help Nigeria. |

Funny thread. She was soo right because some individuals here do get preferential treatment from the moderators, etc and that’s unfair. It’s more like an insult to other forumites (though i don´t care). Why are we even spanking a dead horse as if the favoritism will be normalized. |

This is complete tyranny. If that riff-raff in the name of Ikedi Ohakim goes scot-free with this, then our legal structure is ruined perpetually. How can he brutalize an innocent citizen for saying the truth? Thumbs up to you Mr. Samuel and your courage and I hope Justice is delivered and proper punishments meted-out to Ohakim irrespective of his political standing. No body is above the law and it’s high about time these people at the helm of affairs stop viewing other citizens that possess the same constitutional privileges as them as sub-humans.
God help us. |

Politics › Re: 'you Cannot Run In 2011' Obasanjo Tells Jonathan by zionking(m): 4:13am On Feb 21, 2010 |
Gbawe: Amen. Your post, though short , makes profound sense to me. I agree with you totally that we must reject god-fatherism and kingmaking because those practices only churn up compromised individuals , like Yar Adua and Jonathan, who are intrinsically impotent to deliver positive leadership for Nigeria because of the deal they made with their 'godfathers'.
Those who think they can wish Messianic power on Jonathan , so that he will make Nigeria work, will be thoroughly dissapointed. Many of us have reached our current status in life because we put in the effort to be excellent in our field of expertise. We were selected on merit and not by self-serving individuals and cabals . Like it or lump it , Yar Adua and Jonathan are poor leaders who gained their exalted positions because they ostensibly possessed 'qualities' that happen to suit the agenda of a few kingmaker !!!!
When Nigeria continues to empower the 'weakest links' it is obvious that we are not ready for the struggle to build a great nation . I absolutely agree with you. Only a leadership based on merit can redeem Nigeria and we all need to stop acting like the Ostrich. If people of intellect refuse to take part in politics, how then do we expect our politics to be based on intellect and integrity? And if you look at the present administration, you will struggle to find people of intellect. Nigeria ought to look inwards to consider where we had lapses and admit those lapses then take steps to resolve them so that they do not reoccur. We need a true leader popular or unpopular. Good people need to come out this time around and participate and oust these evil people with their do-or-die politics from positions of power for effective leadership. So we all need to be prepared and vote come 2011 and make sure our votes counts. |
