Yeah it does. Thanks a lot. |
My Dear Ferdinando! Just relax and smile! Hold your peace!! I just wrote the company (Joltmann) requesting for documentation from several organizations (Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the International Standards Organization (ISO)) and I have been copiously ignored, I do not want to speculate just about now, but prospective customers whom I interviewed, especially corporate organizations requested this documentation before they could try this product on their powerplants. I do not know what is wrong with Joltmann. You do not just create a product, test it in some German university(test not supported by adequate documentation by ISO or SAE or TUV), build a razzle-dazzle website about it, picture some individuals (not corporate organizations) to testify about the efficacy and yet the supplier in Nigeria conceals its own Registration details with the CAC, and expect the whole country to travel down to Lagos just because N15,000.00 is involved and also expect the prospective marketers to do a marketing abracadabra for such a product. I am an engineer myself and I know the importance of adequate documentation with products of this sort. I am not really moved by threats of foreclosure of their sales offer. They can do as they please. That is fine by me. I think it should be the same with you. Ciao My Guy! |

Someone out there should please enlighten usn all on the Graduate Standardisation Examination (GSE), its cost, venues and similarities/differences between it and the standard job aptitude tests ("GMAT"). We really need to know. |
Just tinker a lot with the Program Compatibility wizard. Also use the Windows NT (SP 6) option. Choose the disable desktop composition option. Run Setup. Sorry C++ programmers, but you will have to dis-select all other languages on the package (leaving only Visual Interdev and VB 6.0 itself. Enjoy! Trial and error matters a lot here! |
Yeah, and you should remember Onwuka [Strength of Engineering Materials (Eng 305)], Eze and a host of other terrorists. And Oasis, Hostel C and D, SLT and FUTO Babes in general (I hope those of them that have graduated now know really whatz up!). I've been there (MEE/IPE, 2006. Currently, Unhappily Unemployed). Yeah, the real world is much different from the school environment in several regards for example the scale (population), the available spaces(jobs) and financial constraints (no face from tha faces!!) on the one hand, and the possibilities (many chances for success), time limit in the real world (unlimited) on the other. Now, I would like you to create a thread on the jobs section of this site titled x-Futoites corner and let all futoites have their say. My friend, you will be surprised to find out just how many of us out there may be watching your thread. By the way, have you done your GSE test? I would like any x-futoite who has to enlighten us all. It is the next wave in jobs/employment Phone me on 07030621785. Thanx. |

What code do you attach to the Command1_Click Procedure of the "Search" Command Button for an application form which is to search an Access 2000 database table (.mdb format) in its first two columns (Laballed Surname and First Name, for instance), in order for it to commence searching the two columns labelled as above (Surname and First Name, for instance), and to display the result sets of rows containing entries in the first two rows which contain part or all of the string segments of the code just entered in the search box for single or group search operations. (If you are familiar with the Access 2007 ADO Data Control, it has the search box just between the search arrow buttons.) N.B This is the heart of most rudimentary applications for schools, hotel or other parastatal management software. Also enlighten me on how I can use SQL for this purpose. Thank you very much. |

Can someone out there please enlighten me on approximately how much one can acquire a Ku- or C- band high speed internet connection, and where one can possibly get the best deals (in Lagos)? What are the subscription rates? I must say that, although the MTN and GLO GPRS services are somewhat normal for surfing, downloads can be hell(Opera+Firefox assisted). Is it possible to improve on the downloading experience(using MTN/GLO GPRS)? If yes, then how? What is the optimal (system/processor/RAM) requirement for the optimization of the browsing experience using MTN and GLO GPRS? Answers wanted urgently, |
I know you must be absolutely pissed off by the credits which Nigerian programmers arrogate to themselves, hey, it ain't easy being a pro (forget your quest for excellence and the challenges you seem to be throwing around). Besides, it ain't easy to go the whole hog, trying to get those qualifications (MCSE, CCNA/P, OCA/OCP), but I think that I know about one or a couple of nerds who can do just about anything (from serial port tricks to graphics progamming using Arena multimedia software). They just do not get the respect and encouragement which they deserve, so much Nigerian indifference, Anyway, you know what? I just told them to learn a foreign language and afterwards try booking an empty container on any sea-bound vessel-for their talents' sakes-how about that? |

Please, in order to make things easier for everyone on this forum (both programmers and non-programmers alike) I think it would go a long way if everyone could take the pain of adding his area of specialization (core) in any programming language or construct. For instance, an expert in JavaScript or ActiveX or ASP would be more easily understood and would clear the ambiguity regarding software/web programming proficiency and even task designation. For crying out loud, nobody has the complete monopoly on all areas of any programming language (even textbooks don't). Furthermore, I think that the following list should be considered while listing areas of specialization: -U. I Design -Coder -Scripting (JavaScript/VBScript) -Console Programmer -Website Developer -Network Applications Specialist -SQL Expert -Application J2/3/4/5 EE Specialist -Microsoft .NET Specialist for Applications/Web/B2B That is as much as I can list. Please everyone should feel free to expand this list if areas of specialization. Let's be specific. |
i really appreciate your urgency Kobojunkie, but if your need is a highly robust and scalable relational database system, then try Microsoft Office Access 2007. sorry to be naive now, but i really think that you should consider it (Access) as a solution to your problem. i have considerable hands-on experience with Access (8 years) and i must say that i experienced a great deal of productivity increase in the migration of my former developed databases from the 2000-2003 File format to the 2007 file fromat. The search bar (an ActiveX data object is an added boost). i really believe that for mid-size recordsets (not exceeding 100,000 records per table), that you should use Access. i just developed a database system using access 2007 for a specialist hospital and i must say that it is functional, stable and efficient. i think that your main concern should be your table design and primary keys development and setting. do give it a try, for applicatios of your specification, i believe that the tables would use three primary key orientations. one for the student registration number(for the Registrar's Network/Security/Dean of Students Affairs), another for the Surname (for the Faculties/Senate Networks), and a dual primary key table with the Student Registration Number as the primary key (Records and Statistics Unit). do try Access 2007. |
hey goldenval! what are you trying to start? a class 5 tsunami or 6.0 richter scale earthquake or what? i love your vision-its the boldest i've seen in my entire life but do you really know what you are doing?! except you are not trying to build up a search engine to beat google and yahoo to their game (i know what i am saying because i contemplated an academic search solution myself before i just chickened out) you have a whole universe to swim across!! however i am unemployed and the last thing i want to be is a devil's workshop (laugh at me). i want you to use these tips to start your platform 1. you must have the largest network of guys (online, real time) who are savvy in any field of inclination (a good place to start is to use this forum to create your network). also note that each member of the network must be able to supply indexed material on both general and specific fields (on at least 50 different topics). in that case if you have say 2000 guys on your network, that gives you about 100000 different topics, which is a good start. 2. you must conduct the biggest operations research you have ever undertaken in your entire career (I can do this for you). the operations research will cover the very specifics of how your platform will work. this will cover the input of data, the daily pre-indexing if queries and query maintenance. 3.except you are intending to employ spiders like yahoo and google do, you will need to use the manual method to index the material on your server. the tedium in this procedure can be reduced to the barest minimum by applying different methods (i know of one). for the sake of your dream, please design your platform from the inside out (data entry end) and design the system to leave room for upgrading and maintenance. i can go on and on, but i must say once again: i love your dream and i would like to be a part of it. i am with goyetunji's team currently we work together. my email is: z.foci@yahoo.com and phone is 08034457984 (ask to speak to okon). do get in touch. |
what is your proposed software application all about? i would like to know what may be required. be very specific on the details. send these details to: etym2003@yahoo.com. thanks |
thank you my friend! u see we are all multi-trillion-dollar supercomputer-robots (at least that is how i see nigerian graduates) but i must say that a vast majority of us are infected with viruses which undermine our cerebral efficiency and capacity. one of them is PRIDE the other is what i call "FRIVOLOUS ECSTASIASIS" alongside "FANTASY SYNDROMIASIS". now to answer your question, Q: how do you make money (the hard, old fashioned way)? A:by producing goods using machineries to convert raw materials to finished goods (note that the higher the demand for these goods, the more chances are that you will amortize your investment sooner. Machineries are locally fabricable at ridiculous prices (< N30G) in your locality by a good welder (except your line of biz uses an electron microscope). raw materials are a snap-almost free. please use your supercomputer to evolve your skill and talent orientation and please, if you love yourself more than your shoes-format your hard drive and go learn a skill to manage your proposed biz. do until end. see ya! |
i feel you bros! i like yor zeal!! however i wish to share your vision. i am an unemployed grad but i am currently working on a feasibility study software and i am overwhelmed at the work required. i am not proficient at any software language, but i think i have evolved a model which the software will utilize. it is a shot in a lonely park-if you know what I mean. if interested, do call this number and request to speak to Okon. (08034457984) if you have any software devt. team backing you up, then lets get to know each other. keep up the spirit! |
unemployed graduates take note! i do not want to see any more complaints or cries for help or self pity henceforth from grads on this forum!! create your own scenarios and for chrissakes-spot the opportunities!!! Polythene bag making, ice water production, ice block making, cold room real estate business etc, as for nafdac, heed the saying, "no guts no glory" get to work!!!! |
step 1 :look within, step 2 :get real patient, step 3 :look around you (not beyond 20 km radius on your location), step 4 :see any need(s) and finally : fill the/those need(s). that is all it takes to bust the poverty failsafe line. |
