Mynd44:Frankly, I trained the dog on my own. Though I tried, you will understand the limitations in the training I could offer, being a novice. I didn't even train him on anything about noise, neither did I train him to be a guard. The little training I could offer centered on commands. That's why I'm planning to get another dog to complement Arnold. I wouldn't mind giving the second dog a formal, specialised training, so far such is available here in abuja based on recommendation from this great forum. My dog is always set loose at night and when no one is in the house. Thanks |

I must admit that I'm always careful with dogs, apparently due to my experience during my younger days, when the dog of a rich man in my neighbourhood attacked a friend of mine. That incident somehow made me to be scared of dogs. Nevertheless, I've always admired beautiful dogs. So, due to the fact that I was moving to a relatively secluded area, I bought an alsatian puppy primarily for security reasons. Getting the puppy afforded me the opportunity of understanding a dog, and with the help of this section, I learnt some important tips on how to raise a dog. My dog, now a year and 5 months, is agile, barks very well, especially at strangers and could obey simple commands like "sit, go back" and so on. However, I was so baffled on the day armed robbers visited my estate and my able dog refused to even bark at all. My neighbour's house was robbed for very an hour and neither his dog nor mine barked. These are dogs that are always barking all through the night. The robbery really shook my wife and she's very much afraid. I'm thinking of buying another dog, in addition to some other range of measures, to boost security at my place. Yet, it keeps agitating my mind why all the dogs in my area went cold while the robbery lasted That's why I'm wondering, how protective could dogs be? I would also appreciate any recommendation on a very agile, protective dog which is totally opposed to strangers. I'm based in Abuja. Thanks |
I think "need" should drive this. I built my first house in the city, abuja precisely because that's where I work and live. My father has a house in the village that is occupied by only him and mum. In fact, I had to get a relative to stay with my folks. Why build a house in a village I go to once a year. I need a house more where I live and I settled that first. Now that I'm planning to build in my state, i'm not even considering my village, but the state capital, where I can build and rent to make profit. Building a house in the village does not require any urgency when you have other needs. |
It's a no-brainer. BUHARI gets my vote |

The "ebora owu" has spoken. I know some inconsequential, ignorant and infertile beings, who don't even know anything will come here and abuse him. What an elder sees while sitting down, a child can't see it even if flying on a plane. Although I don't like Baba's style, i can't abuse him over his comments because all of you here don't even have an idea of what he knows. |
Descartes:It's obvious your memory is short. The President suspended Sanusi from office for financial recklessness, apparently because he knew he lacks powers to remove him. Only a 2/3 of the national assembly can. Ditto for Jega, the INEC chairman. The question now is, on what grounds will a president seeking re-election sack Jega? It's a tough call and gej will further ridicule himself if he tries it |

Let them postpone till anytime they like. This change is divine and imminent, regardless of the antics of the clueless one and his blind, ignorant supporters. If PDP led government of GEJ supports this postponement based on security reasons, then his government has failed, since he can't guarantee Nigerians the primary responsibility of protecting lives and property. GEJ has demonstrated that he is a failure. He has committed an impeachable offence. But, that won't be necessary, we can tolerate him till March 28, when he will be Otuoke - bound March1= M March 2= U March 3= H March 4= A March 5= M March 6= M March 7= A March 8= D March 9= U March10= B March11= U March12= H March13= A March14= R March15= I March16= / March 17= Y March 18= E March 19= M March 20= I March 21= O March 22= S March 23= I March 24= N March 25= B March 26= A March 27= J March 28= O Change is coming by His grace #MarchforBuhari |

seunlayi: WhiteTechnology: seunlayi:Rather than face the challenge at hand, you people are blaming Buhari for the ineptitude of your President. don't worry, come February , you won't have to blame him again, Buhari would be getting ready to take over on May 29, 2015 |
