Rest in Peace to our fallen heroes who have been sacrificing their lives for this headless and meaningless country.

Meanwhile, how sure are we that it wasn't a direct attack from Boko boys since they told us they have weakened the boys, hence they wouldn't want to complicate issues.

Why are Nigerians seen as fraudulent and dubious people?
Hafa?

How you dey?

These seem to be the first thing many foreigners say while interacting with me for the first time.

According to them, In saying this the Nigerian wouldn't think of scamming them because they're sounding like a local.

I think some got this from scam watch sites, travel agencies, their government.

I really don't care where they got that from because such familiar parlance won't stop me from scamming you if i wanted to.

You contacted me because you want to get some information, you're testing me in the process if i have scamming tendencies, we are not even talking money for christ sake.

For some time now, Nigerians studying abroad only come back home as a corpse, the ones alive have nothing good to tell.

The government of the host countries have no good explanation to give, neither the Nigerian government, as usual.

India, Ukraine, North Cyprus, Russia, Malaysia, even our own brothers South Africa, top the list on the dishonourable treatment of some Nigerians.

Some of these Nigerians are not innocent, but the majority of them are but general hate is spread on them all.

Some of these acts are purely racist but in most cases, it's due to the news, the rumours they have heard about Nigerians:

Internet scammer.

Drug pushers.

love-vendor, etc.

These are susceptible youths, mostly from rich homes, hoping to get a good and affordable education from these countries but are met with hate and untimely death all because of generalization, a single story.

Nigerians are seen as fraudulent and dubious, unfortunately, that is the exact way many Nigerians see the rest of the world too.

Either way, cheating is inherent in every human, and it's not just in money.

Some persons just don't do it because they have a "conscience," Nigerians have this too.

You were duped by a Nigerian? So sorry, that wasn't me, it's not all Nigerians who cheat.

I won't do that, because i wouldn't want anyone to do that to me.

Some Nigerians know their field inside out, locking them out based on rumours you've heard or read in some fancy literature is only going to be disadvantageous to us all.

I am a Nigerian, not a scammer

Your best bet is to visit a dermatologist, make sure you outline everything to him/her as you have done now. Let your treatment start from there.

Imo State based Radio Presenter Ogechi Iwu dies after undergoing a leg amputation.

Before his death, he worked with Hot Fm Owerri and later joined Ozisa Fm where he was a co-anchor on their current affairs program "We the People".

His colleague shared the breaking news on his Facebook wall. He wrote;

RIP Ogechi "The Real McCoy" Iwu

My boss Ogechi Helmut Iwu, I was with you last Saturday at the #OzisaFm 96.1 one year anniversary. You looked sharp even though you were in pain and recuperating.

We anchored the popular and number current affairs programme on radio #WeThePeople on Monday and Tuesday, little did I know that was the last time we will see.

We tried our best to keep you alive, but we've lost you to the cold hands of death. I'm devastated beyond words.

Rest In Peace the golden voice. A legendary broadcaster with a great difference.

CrimeLooters Return Stolen Palliatives; Ask For Forgiveness From Plateau State Govt by Zontage(op): 10:00am On Nov 25, 2020
Some people who participated in looting of items during the recent vandalisation of warehouses and other public and private properties under the guise of looking for palliatives have returned the items in their possession, asking for forgiveness from the Plateau State Government.

IgbereTV reports that the repentant persons were led to the new Government House in Rayfield Jos by popular evangelist of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, who explained that they made the confession during a prayer revival orgainsed at the Zang Secondary School Bukuru, Jos South Local Government.

The clergyman said over two thousand people came forward after the hearing the gospel where he preached against the recent looting and vandalism which affected public and private properties in the State.

This action, according to him is not just an invitation of the anger of God against the suspects but the entire State. He said the hijack of the ENDSARS protest is a plan of the devil to scuttle the will of God for Plateau State which cannot be left without intercession.

Touched by the message, some of the persons involved in the looting repented and decided to bring some of the items still in their possessions as a mark of restitution and plea for mercy from God and the Government of Plateau State.

Rev. Dachomo appealed to the Governor of Plateau State Simon Bako Lalong to temper justice with mercy by granting forgiveness to the repentant persons who voluntarily came forward at the revival meeting with a promise never to partake in such acts again.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Governor, Secretary to the Government of the State, Prof. Danladi Abok Atu commended Rev. Dachomo for appealing to the consciences of the affected persons who came forward to ask for forgiveness.

He said the action of the looters was a great disservice to the State as not only food items were looted, but heavy machinery, public infrastructure and businesses worth billions of naira were stolen and also destroyed.

Prof. Atu advised the youths of Plateau State to be wary of listening to incitement by people who are not even from Plateau State, but come into the State purposely to orchestrate the destruction after which they disappear to their places of origin just like during the ENDSARS protest.

He promised to forward the plea of the repentant persons to the Governor for further consideration.
