Are you sick, poor or lost in sin? Or are you having any problem at all? Jesus is caling you. The world’s greatest problem is the blindness of the heart, which is the most devastating killer disease of this generation among men.

Who “… having their understanding darkened being alienated from the life of God through ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.” (Eph. 4:15).

It is for this purpose that Jesus Christ was sent to the world, and He declared His mission statement in Luke 4:18,19 (KJV): “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord” And this is also the mandate of the Church upon the face of the earth.

Jesus was moving around the crowd, and He is still doing so now. It takes only the blind Bartimaeus to notice and call for His presence among so many people who were also sick, maimed, wounded and blinded by the god of this world. They all knew that Jesus was around but failed to accept Him, even as Eve preferred the sinful fruit instead of The Tree Of Life to her detriment (Gen 2:9).

Men prefer rigorous religious rituals than the simple faith in Jesus. They’ve been deceived to believe in an “alternative” Jesus. These are the people ” In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (II Cor. 4:4-KJV).

There are so many people today languishing in unbelief, wallowing in their sin and dying in their thousands, yet refusing to embrace The Truth: the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only propitation for the sin of the whole world. ” For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1Tim. 2:5)

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Blind Bartimaeus faced oppositions, and so we expect you’ll also face oppositions, first from within yourself and then from the people around you. May be you felt like dropping this tract when you first collected it, or you have issues with Christianity. These are the voices of the enemy trying to keep you in status quo and to bind you forever in everlasting chains, but this is your acceptable hour.

May be you think of your current position in the society and the challenges you’ll face when you come to Jesus. Remember Nicodemus (John 3:13). The Bible said concerning Bartimaeus: "And many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, son of David have mercy on me.” (Mark 10:48)

Truth is expensive ( Prov. 23:23) and deliverance is costly. You must cherish them to have them, and reach out to God to show that you really need Him (Rev. 3:20). You must open your mouth and talk to God.

“For with the heart man beliveth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. (Rom. 10:10).

You must confess your need of Him and forsake your sinful ways. Tell Him To come in to your life and be your Lord and Saviour. You must also drop your garments of prejudice and sentiments. The Bible told us of Bartimaeus: “And he, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus…and immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in THE WAY:" (Mark 10:15).

He made up his mind not to be distracted; he made up his mind to walk up to Jesus. The first step his to come, the second is to receive and then to walk up to Him. Bartimaeus damned all consequences and ignored every resistance around him. He made up his mind to drop the filthy garments of sin and of self-righteousness and quickly join the Lord in the new way.

Jesus is that way, out of the misery of life, out of shame and shackles of sin, Jesus is the way, the only way of salvation, a lonely narrow way specially designed for an individual who shall hear and respond to the call of the Father: “Wherefore as the Holy Ghost saith, today if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts…” (Heb. 3:7-.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. “ (John 3:16).

Our sincere prayer, dearly beloved is that “The eyes of your understanding be enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.” (Eph. 1:18).

A 10-year-old girl, in south-east Brazil, has given birth at school after complaining about having a stomach ache.
Teachers took the girl, who has not been named, to hospital where doctors discovered that she was in the late stages of labour.
Despite the girl’s age and her only being seven-months pregnant at the time, the baby was delivered safely last Tuesday.
They are now being cared for at the hospital.
It is believed that the girl became pregnant after her 40-year-old stepfather, who has been accused of rape of a child and illegal possession of firearms, allegedly abused her.
The mother of the girl, who is from Brazil, said she was unaware that she was pregnant and had not noticed her stomach had become larger than normal.
However, she told police in Belo Horizonte that the girl had become more introverted since October last year and had started to struggle with her school work.
Police said: ‘The mother alleges that she, along with other family members, hadn’t noticed, taking into consideration the child’s small frame.’
The girl told police that her stepfather had threatened to kill her mother and brother if she ever revealed the abuse.

A man from Xiangtan, China, had to live with his hand sewn onto his leg for a month before it was reattached to his wrist.
The patient, called Zhou, lost his left hand in a work accident.
After being rushed to hospital the surgeons realised they could reattach his hand, however not immediately due to the damage the nerves and tendons in his arm.
The hand needed to be kept alive by having blood run through it for a month to allow the damage to the arm to heal.
Therefore surgeons decided to attach it to Zhou’s leg.
After a month it was reattached to his arm during a ten hour operation.
Not only was the operation a success, but Zhou already has some movement back in his formerly-severed hand.
Zhou will now require extensive physiotherapy to get as much movement as possible in the hand.

Davina McCall has sparked shock online after appearing to claim women must keep their husbands “satisfied” in the bedroom EVEN if they’re “exhausted” – otherwise they’ll stray.

The TV presenter and household favourite opened up about her secrets to a strong marriage with husband Matthew Robertson, who she’s been married to for 16 years, and revealed it’s all about keeping things hot in the bedroom.

The ‘corpse bride’, 58, made the unusual entrance at her wedding on Saturday when she got married to Christopher Lockett, 51, from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs.

She lay in the black coffin with the lid closed as she was pulled along by a motorcycle in honour of her brother – a motorcycle enthusiast.

Jenny, who works for Bet365 in customer service, said: “I just wanted to do something a little bit different!

“I almost didn’t tell Chris but in the end I spilled the beans about three weeks before.

“He was a bit surprised but he said as long as I was happy he would go with the flow.

“What more could I ask for from a new husband?!”

Jenny, a former funeral parlour worker and qualified embalmer, was driven to Llangefni register office by her sister-in-law, Hayley Buckleff, who pulled the coffin behind a VW Trike.

The coffin, which was black and adorned with a grim reaper, belongs to her brother Roger who was given it by his daughter.

Jenny said: “It’s definitely different. Instead of turning up in a horse-drawn cart, I thought I’m going to turn up in a coffin.

“The groom was a little shocked when I told him my plans, but he just went with the flow.

“The best man didn’t know until the day. A lot of people didn’t know.”

The couple decided to marry in Wales near to where Roger lives as he suffered a heart attack last year and was too ill to travel.

She added: “I don’t normally dress like this and I’m not a goth at all.

“I work for Bet365, so you have to be well presented and I’m normally very smart.

“But my brother is different. He’s covered in tattoos so for once he looked the part.”

Although the pair gave lots of wedding guests a shock, they said they were pleased to have had such a talking point at the nuptials.

Jenny added: “My brother and I are very close so it was nice to be able to do something to honour him and do something a bit different.

“He loved it and said it made his day.”

The couple met just six months ago and he proposed one month later in their local pub, the Horn and Trumpet.

Lorry driver Christopher, aged 51, said: “She kept it from me for a bit, but then it slipped out. It was different, but if that’s what she wants to do then that’s fine.

“When we first met in The Victoria on the Square in Hanley, I gave her my number. But I was so drunk, I gave her the wrong number and kept going back to the pub week after week, waiting for her to come back in.

“It was maybe four or five weeks until we met again and it went from there. It was love at first sight. I proposed around Christmas. I was out shopping for presents when I saw a jeweller’s and I thought, ‘why not?’ It wasn’t planned.”

The couple have five children from previous marriages. They were all there, alongside Christopher’s ex-wife, to watch them get married on Saturday.

Jenny’s daughter, Jade Meads, aged 27, said: “The coffin was a bit strange, but my mum is never normal. I thought she was joking at first.”

The bride’s brother, Roger, was hoping to ride the trike, yet Hayley, aged 46, took on the responsibility due to his ill health.

Hayley said: “My husband has always been interested in skulls and skeletons. The house is full of ornaments like that, and he’s covered head to toe in tattoos.

“The coffin was bought as a present, so he turned it into a trailer.

“When we go away on bike rides, we use it to put all our camping gear in. We get an awful lot of looks when we go out with it. It’s unique.”

The Malawian Pastor who is the leader of the Wells of Revival Ministries in Johannesburg has become a social media sensation and has gained more than 4000 followers since starting his Facebook page earlier this year.

Unlike most men of the clergy, Salanje does not use the platform to share scriptures or reach out to his followers but rather uses it to brag and show off his riches.

His Facebook page is littered with images of his expensive cars and upmarket mansion.

The 33-year-old Zimbabwean man who was allegedly grabbed by three women in a black BMW last week and raped at gunpoint has described his “shock, disbelief and pain” at the incident.

He told the UK’s Daily Mail that he is now too scared to leave his home.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson Constable Mncedi Mbombo told News24 last week that the man had been standing on the side of the road in Kwazakhele, Port Elizabeth, at around 08:00 on Tuesday when the women stopped next to him in a black BMW.

The women asked the victim for directions and when he approached them, one of the women pointed a gun at him and forced him into the vehicle, said Mbombo.

The suspects then allegedly forced the man to “drink something”, before taking turns raping him in an open area on the side of the road.

The man says the women then told him that they didn’t want to hurt or rob him but just wanted his semen.

He said the youngest of the three started getting angry and began shouting at him, causing one of the others to tell her to calm down as it would cause him to be too frightened and unable to perform.

The man said when he “couldn’t do what they ordered me to do” they got powder from a handbag and mixed it with some water and made him drink it.

Once they got his semen, they collected it in a bag, put it in a cooler box and threw him out of the car.

Mbombo told the Daily Mail police are investigating the possibility that the suspects wanted the sperm for muthi.

Rape Crisis director Kathleen Dey told News24 that about 10% of the rape victims who use their Cape Town facilities are men and very few of those report being raped by women.

“It’s very rare. This incident described in the Eastern Cape is quite an anomaly when you look at the broader picture of rape in South Africa

It’s a very strange incident.”

But Dey pointed out that the stigma that surrounds men being raped could mean that the number of male rape survivors is significantly higher than reported.

Dey said the greatest myth surrounding male rape survivors is that “men are not vulnerable to being raped [or] that men can protect themselves and they don’t get hurt in the way that women do”.

Dey also spoke of the “involuntary” responses of victims during the act of rape.

“Of course you can force a man to have sex. Often a response is involuntary and the person has a response even though they don’t want to. And it’s still very much a violation to have [unwanted] sex with a person even though they might be aroused.

“Arousal is not a sign of consent,” stressed Dey.

“There are women who’ve been horribly raped who’ve experienced orgasm during the rape and that has traumatised them.

“So there’s no question that the law would define [what happened to this man] as rape.”

Mbombo told News24 that no arrests had been made by Tuesday morning.

Constable Mncedi Mbombo said: "On Tuesday morning a 33-year-old man arrived at New Brighton police station to lodge a rape case against three women.

"The victim alleges that he was on his way to home in Seyisi Street in the morning at about 8am when three women in a black BMW stopped and said they were lost and asked him to show the direction to New Brighton.

"When he was about to show them, one woman sitting in the back seat pulled out a firearm and ordered him to get inThey drove with him from Seyisi Street and then stopped at a remote place in Khuzwayo Street in KwaZakhele.

"He alleges that the suspects forced him to drink a liquid that made his 4-5 stand up

Then they took turns raping him.

"After raping him they took his semen and put it in a cooler boxThey ordered him to go to a clinic for an HIV test because they were HIV positiveThen they fled the scene.

"We appeal to anyone who might know these suspects, who are in their 30s, to call New Brighton Police Station on 041 394 7315."

When a world leader makes a video to wish his citizens a happy Easter and declares that his is a Christian country, you can be fairly certain that it’s not Barack Obama.

Still, who it is will both shock you and make you realize how far we’ve fallen under this president.

David Cameron, prime minister of the United Kingdom, released an Easter video message to Britons. While the two-and-a-half minute speech touched on a number of themes, one of the core sentiments Prime Minister Cameron relayed was that the United Kingdom was a “Christian country.”

“Easter is a time for Christians to celebrate the ultimate triumph of life over death in the resurrection of Jesus,” Prime Minister Cameron’s address began.

“And for all of us, it’s a time to reflect on the part that Christianity plays in our national life.”

He then touched upon the role of the church in British life.

“The church is not just a collection of beautiful, old buildings; it is a living, active force doing great works right across our country,”

“When people are homeless, the church is there with hot meals and shelter. When people are addicted or in debt, when people are suffering or grieving, the church is there.

“I know from the most difficult times in my own life that the kindness of the church can be a huge comfort.”

Cameron also added that the Bible plays a critical role in the British character.

It’s worth pointing out that Cameron that the leader of the Tories, a party whose most conservative leaders would be considered RINOs at best were they in the colonies. He also leads a country far less religious than ours.

Yet, he can make that statement while our president feels he cannot.

If that doesn’t tell you all you need to know about Barack Obama, I’m not certain what will.
