Thanks a lot. court ? I thought we are to use any notary ? benque: At the court they usually have their own format of affidavit, you will just state the exact scope of the sponsorship and the time frame. The letter is a more detailed explanation of why the sponsorship. |

Please can someone help with a sample affidavit of sponsorship ?
I’m confused between the affidavit of sponsorship and letter of sponsorship, I know the affidavit is the one to be stamped by a notary, but what will be the content ?
Feels like the two documents will basically be repeating themselves |

Thanks a lot. Sorry for the late response. Please what are the cic forms for paper route? I came across a post someone mention filling 4 cic forms, are they the forms below? IMM5707E IMM5832E IMM5646 IMM1294 JustMellow: Hello Zzzz1234,
There's no need providing too much information about your siblings, they're not the principal applicant. However, only their birth certificates will suffice. Any other information about them is best advised to be stated in writing words. Thus, its also not bad including other relevant documents of them, but like i said before, they're not the principal applicant just leave it simple.
Good luck! |

Yes thanks... I am the last child, my first two siblings are independent and the third child( the one I’m following) will be finishing her masters this September ending, she is not yet married though. Do I need to add any document to proof that she will be done this September? Should I use her admission letter or just stating the info above on my sop is enough? Also do my other siblings do I need to put proof? mcobex: What I am trying to say is this: Use your most active account to apply and your dad needs to state that he has transferred the funds to you(you also need to explain that in your SOP )....doing this will let the vo know that the fund is readily available and also it will clear the issue of lump sum. Secondly, even if you dad transfers the funds for your study to you or pay your tuition fee, he still needs to submit his own statement of account and other sources of income to show that he can sponsor you beyond your first year and at the same time take care of other family members (his dependants) back in Nigeria. Get it now? |

Thanks but I’m a bit confused. Are you suggesting that (1) I use my most active account to apply then my dad just states in his sponsorship letter that he moved the money to my account OR (2) he should use his most active account bank statement to show the funds for sponsorship? Your write up sounds like two suggestion but I’m not sure if that want you want to put across. mcobex: Use your most active account to apply then explain that you had to move the money to your other account to enable you pay your tuition (since you couldn't do that with the more active account). Also, since you dad transferred the funds to your active account, all he needs to do is explain in his letter of support that he has showed commitment by paying the said funds into your personal account. Since the account opened for your study carries your dad's name and it hasn't been active for a while, let your dad just use his own personal account that is active to show proof of funds that he can sponsor you beyond your first year. NB: I just hope I made sense to you because I am rushing out and needed to address this |

I am using my dad as my sponsor, he has an account he had set aside for my education ( the account is in his name and he had set it aside for my undergraduate studies in Turkey), he will use the same account for my postgraduate studies but the account does not have much inflow and outflow ( I came back after my undergraduate studies in 2018 so the account has not been used).
* when I came back I did nysc and I finished this year so throughout there was no use for the account*
Will that be an issue since he moved money thrice into it after I told him of my admission( we plan on explaining the money movement in his sop) OR should he send the bulk money to me and I will use my bank statement to apply?
Will submitting a bank statement of the account he set aside for my studies fly ? Also he sent the tuition fee to my uba to pay but I couldn’t pay using uba so I moved the money to GTBank( never used it since I came back to Nigeria , I only recently used it for the tuition payment). if he moves the money to my uba there will be no record of tuition payment from the Uba account, if he sends it to my GTBank, it will be a bulk amount since the only transaction in the last one year is only the recent tuition payment.
Please which is a better way to go?
Thanks |

Thanks Naijaforeigner: (1) you studied abroad, therefore your parents are more than capable to finance your studies in Canada - show proofs.
(2) On completion of your studies in Turkey, you came back to Nigeria to do your NYSC, this shows that you are planning for your future in Nigeria and always willing to come back after studies - show proof of NYSC certificate
(3) What is short term plan? Long term plan of owning a business in Nigeria? Write it in your LOE that the courses you will take in your PGC will shape or prepare you for your long term goal. Make sure you are specific, mention 1 or 2 modules from your program and how it will help your long term goal and the job opportunities in the Nigerian market for your program. Remember to be specific.
(3) Stress how you studied in Turkey without missing classes or breaking any of the rules. Therefore you understand the responsibilities of an international student bla bla bla
(4) stress the importance of having 2 degrees from different countries and the advantage it will give you in the Nigerian economy.
(5) Show documents of properties owned by your parents
I am typing form my phone so I can’t go further. Just make sure you structure your LOE very well, proof read for errors and have someone look at the LOE for you.
You will most likely not have issues with your SOA, so focus on writing a good LOE on your part and fathers part.
I suggest you give Bracha, Makano, Mcobex, Austacus or Frank your LOE for them to have a look through. Disturb them very well until they have a look. Once you have all your documents ready, you can post on this forum for everyone to have a second look before submission. All the best |

makano: u are still kinda young(from ma perspective tho)so u are nt really expected to have properties so to speak... And also its obvious u don't also have work experience since u just finished ur NYSC dis year, which means ur only hope of home ties are ur family members here in Nigeria, especially ur parents.. You really need to do ur home work to proof to the VO how very important ur parents are to you, that u cant do without them for so long which means u wont overstay ur duration in Canada.. You can add to what I just wrote here tho, dts just a brief of what u must elaborate on... Peace Thanks so much for your response, if I include family pictures( maybe us doing fun stuffs together) will that give a strong view of my family ties...really having difficulties working that angle |

Mandyknows: What will bring you back to Nigeria? Do you have a job offer in Nigeria? Is your course of study in high demand and will it make you so attractive to companies in Nigeria upon graduation? You could work this angle whilst also talking about how closely knit your family is. Thank you so much for replying, I was kinda skeptical if I will even get a response ( my first time posting). I am in the ICT field and I’m going for a 1yr pgc in information security management...the course is in high demand everywhere , Nigeria and otherwise I have paid a 1semester tuition to the school to show seriousness |
