Sup ppl, i need your help, I need a degree in theatre art, i have a Bsc in Information and Communication Technology, but want to get a degree in theatre art to go into acting, but i'm having a hard choice to choose between going for a Bsc from a University like LAG or OAU or A Professional Certification from LUFODO or DelYork or any other professional school. Cost-wise, unilag requires 170k per session for about 4yrs part time course, while Lufodo requires about 300k for 12 mnths, (dunno cost for DelYork yet) pls can anyone help my confussion, and please make it easy for me by listing out the pros and cons why u choose one over the other..

Abeg help me

Since u already have a degree in a different discipline, i would advice you to go for a professional course in acting. The simple truth in this art is that you improve as you go on. Even the veterans are still learning. When you study for degree, you get a lot of academic junks that is not necessary in making you a professional, but when you study pro, they treat you as one.

Delyork is good but quite expensive. I don't know figures anyway.

hope it was helpful?

I'd go with what Andrewdg said besides show me one Nigerian 'theatre' trained actor that isn't absolute crap in movies. They just have no idea that theater acting needs to stay on the stage; it really looks awful on the screen. But I blame the directors.
