It's frustrating to have a desire to do something and, at the same time, lack the means by which to accomplish it. I believe that the hardest part of learning a language is knowing where to begin. Living outside of the immediate area where a language is spoken, puts us, as learners, at an immediate disadvantage. To fill this void, most of us use books, audio-tapes, CD-Roms, and anything else that we can get our hands on.

However, I've noticed that there is a need for a consolidation of such resources [on Nairaland] so that all who wish to embark on the language learning journey can know where to start. I decided to create this thread so that we can post links to any language learning resources (preferably free) that we may have and help, not only others, but ourselves.
