I opened a thread 2 yrs ago on d need 4 d regulators to force dstv to sell its premium sport station Supersport 3 at a reasonable price to other cable stations. I was abused. This can never happen in developed countries. Dey know how to protect consumers.

I only watch sttartime when I am sick and why on earth will I pay 5k for TV, will I be watching all stations at the same time? even 2k I pay for startime still boilinng me because nairaland news is even faster than CNN news and arsenal match will only attract me 100 naira per view weekend in football centre and 400 # per month except if their is champion league which may attract 700# per month in view centre, we should learn to be wise because I still complain that 2k startime because I can do without TV but cannot do without internet due to business and friends

@Billonaire, sounds sweet but risky! Doing that in a place like Abuja where Multichoice has a major office has some bounce-back effects. I prefer the small change i get from students i do it for who pay me jointly. Infact i'm even thinking of leaving that area because of one bad-belle guy who runs a viewing centre in my area. This Dstv guy collected about 7k from me to change my decoder that blew up,only for them to give me back the same decoder telling me its for changing an i.c.I went back home only for the decoder to blow up after two weeks. Goin back there they still change i.c again. after my suscription for that month expired,I just pack the decoder. I'm waiting for the futbal season to begin before I subscribe but with this increase,I think I will need someone to reconfigure that chip for me. This is so annoying the last time I spoke with a customer representative in Multi-choice I was told the increase would be N10,500 from N10,000. Only for me to see N11,000. If Multi-choice is churning out new channels like African Magic Entertainment am I to suffer for this? I don't watch Africa Magic and I don't even know what the new African Entertainment channels are like. Multi-choice should come up with a sport package, this amount is outrageous compared with the number of channels they have in their bouquet. N11,000 in a year translates to N132,000.

@OP, to me DSTV is rubbish. I cannot imagine why i have to pay so much. I think the reason why they keep increasing tariff regularly apart from competition, is the absence of protest. Nigerians are satisfied paying alot for it. I told a colleague and he said God will continue to provide. Imagine!

Unfortunately if you are in Lagos, you can't get Metrodigital but if you're in Enugu, Port harcourt and maybe Onitsha, Metrodigital is ok. Yes, they show the Epl and Ucl.
