Pointless. Utter rubbish. This is a waste of time. Wait a minute. A group of singers come together to sing a song about change then voila! we are brainwashed and start acting changed. Na so! Six months from now this song will have no impact on the orientation of the youths. Quote me anywhere. |

I can bet on certain celebs that will never do something of this sort. I have always said it that nigerians are the problems of nigeria. Until they change, they shouldn't expect any change. |

Things that are NOT done genuinely never last. They are hardly sustainable because when you don't get the fame you are looking for, your interest in the project dies. |

The Nigerian dream; I have spent over 20 years in this country but things continue to get worse, inflation continue to soar high, unemployment rate keeps increasing, mortality rate is on the high, number of uneducated young people is sky rocketing, we produce oil in crude yet we import it refined , insurgents groups arise yearly(before it was MEND now we have boko haram), our leaders have condemned us. But alas! There is a new beginning, change is not going to be from top-down as we all believe, on the contrary it is going to be from bottom-up, this country's last hope is us(Nigerian youths); we are what we have left, we have surmounted challenges over the years, we are all over world solving basic human problems for countries around the world. Now is the time to answer the clarion call, I challenge you to arise my compatriots, the hour is here, the time is now. I have started to make changes in my community - I was involved in a community development project a couple of days ago, i questioned a petrol attendant for charging an illegal N20 because I needed to buy fuel in a keg(I bought the fuel and didn't pay the illegal charges cos I stood my ground). We don't need to do the big things, we need to start small - if over 100million Nigerian youths do small things that are good then victory over our evil leaders is just beginning. Past generations have failed us,we cant fail our children's generation? Do you want to look your child in the eye and tell him how you fought political tyrants and stood for justice during your time and hand over the legacy or birth him to this country and show him hopelessness. I made my decision, It's time for you to make yours. For now (With my left hand on my chest) I PLEDGE TO NIGERIA MY COUNTRY TO BE FAITHFUL LOYAL AND HONEST TO SERVE NIGERIA WITH ALL MY STRENGTH TO DEFEND HER UNITY AND UPHOLD HER HONOUR AND GLORY SO HELP ME GOD(AMEEN) 1 Like |

You're right about ELDEE, he's the most respected in the industry when it comes to activisms and Banky is really trying in that regard going by the last election, he and Eldee didn't participate in any campaign for political office holders. azimibraun: I can only listen 2 edrees abdulkareem(jaga jaga) Eldee Da Don( me i go yarn) & 2baba(in many songs) na dem bin yarn wen tins bin bad. Nigeria!!! Since when i was born it has been these tune that have been always sang by people to appease their mind. We ventured into something we new had no carnal knowledge of,'democracy'. We just looked at the good part, didn't learn the pros and cons of it. The dividend is what we are seeing, a society where the citizen has no say, a society which the mind of its citizen has been manipulated to suit the selfish desire of her leaders, a society where the minds of the citizens see the truth and fear to fight for it, a society where the citizens have been thought from birth from birth to be self-centred. With this i will want a person who have experienced true democracy to tell us what we are running, if we aren't then our sole aim should be to restore a society which runs true democracy. |
