A fraud alert notice had been placed by the management of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti in their website. Rarenewsandschools.com wish to inform all Nigerian students about these fraudsters as it may also affect students from other institutions. Read the full text below in quote.

“It has been brought to our attention that Fraudsters claiming to represent Federal University Oye-Ekiti, are sending text messages to defraud people about admission. A sample of such SMS is written below:

"Congratulaions you have been admitted at FUOYE, kindly proceed to pay your acceptance fee, it ends on 13th, Aug 2012. Acc name: VTNETWORK, acct no: 0056241847, EcoBank, Amount: 20,000, Send ur full name, Teller No and branch of payment to: 07030182222, call the No here to any details".[color=#990000][/color]

This is to notify the General Public to disregard any of such information as it does not emanate from the University.
Kindly also take not that http://fuoye.edu.ng is the official and only University website! ANY INFORMATION gotten from other websites that is not linked from our main university website is INVALID!

Even the account name is suspicious. It does not, in any way, reflect the school. VTNETWORK. Lmfao!
And the sms reeks of unprofessionalism. "call the No here to any details." lol.
