NAHB, the National Association of Home Builders with headquarters in Washington DC, is a trade association of 160,000 members associated with the residential construction industry - contractors, financiers, architects, designers, developers, and product suppliers. The Association solely manages International Builders Show, the largest annual light construction show in the world with nearly 50,000 individual attendees, including builders, mortgage financiers, facility managers, and building materials distributors from over 100 countries. NAHB provides members access to a broad array of products, services and resources.

Nigerians have taken advantage of a number of educational courses which explore a variety of best practices in building from development to financing and the use of technology to address growing support for green building. These programs are custom tailored to the needs of the individual groups and have been well received by all participants to date. Primarily these sessions have taken place at the NAHB headquarters building -The National Housing Center - in Washington, DC. These sessions have traditionally been coordinated by organizers on the ground in Nigeria. The coordinator traditionally works with NAHB to design the program and provides the administrative requirements associated with travel. Niche PR is one such coordinator.

NAHB with Builders Institute (HBI) will be facilitating at a 3-day intensive and advanced training programe for real estate developers and professionals in the industry from October 9 – 12, 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Ikeja, Lagos. Some of the high points of this training is a session exclusively for artisans - Masons, Carpenters, Electrical Wiring Contractors, Facilities Maintenance Contractors, Tile- layers, Plumbers and Painters.

Participation fee is N145,000.00 (One hundred and forty five thousand Naira) to cover cost of training, tea, lunch and educational tour.

It is a certified programme, and participants will have the opportunity of becoming international members of National Association of Home Builders, United States of America.
