He Has Been Arrested For Beating His Mother::

On Thursday this week, police arraigned a 26yr-old man, Chima Eke of Tudun Wada street in Lugbe, Abuja, before an Abuja Senior Magistrates’ Court for allegedly beating up his mother.

The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Jeremiah Elijah, told the court that the case was reported at the Lugbe Police Station by Mrs Lovina Eke of the same address on Aug. 19.

Elijah said that the accused came home only to discover that his mother had not cooked food for the day.

The prosecutor said the development infuriated the accused and he resorted to beating up his mother, an offence which contravened the provisions of section 265 of the Penal Code.
