The Tax and Revenue Management Consultant will be responsible for ensuring Tax and Revenue Compliance for our Client.

The selected candidate will work with many areas of the organization and must possess strong working knowledge of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing of projects. To accomplish these goals, He/She must be able analytical and know how to lead direct reporting staff (know how to effectively apply departmental management procedures (including managing stakeholder expectations, communications, budget management, schedule management, performance reporting, etc.)

The Tax and Revenue Management Consultant will maintain the scope, budget and schedule integrity by interaction with the Project Sponsor, including development and maintenance of project management plan, resource management, cost management and communications management.

Additionally, the selected candidate will manage the process of building and maintaining effective on- going communications and relationships between the project team and the sponsoring organization to confirm that the project is completed in a manner that satisfies client objectives.

Essential Functions of the Job:
• Utilize knowledge of the subject area domain to provide direction to staff and achieve desired results.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation (reporting, meeting minutes, etc.)
• Identify risk, cost, resource, and dependencies; plan strategies to address risk, cost, resource and dependencies.
• Take leadership role; act as a facilitator and mentor to other team members; facilitate collaboration/knowledge-sharing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders; manage project stakeholder expectations; negotiate with and influence project sponsors on project specific items.
• Explain difficult concepts and issues, and persuade others to adopt a point of view; anticipate and communicate ramifications of decisions and issues to project stakeholders.
• Allocate staff and budget resources to meet changing project/program needs.
• Evaluate and report progress in terms of quality and performance metrics
• Develop procedures and coordinates activities within and across project teams.
• Develop a strong understanding of the key business and financial drivers that determine the firm's success.
• Proactively identify and address project strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
• Identify alternative solutions when project plans hit roadblocks.
• Apply judgment in tailoring methodologies, processes, and practices to specific requirements of programs/projects.


Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must have:
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a govt internal revenue parastatal e.g LIRS
• Ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of the organizational structure of the firm and how it relates to Tax and Revenue Management.
• Ability to understand, influence and analyze project suppliers to confirm business objectives are met.
• Microsoft Office Skills
• Understanding of the relevant Tax and Revenue Laws
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple and complex projects.
