dis is a good move wit respect 2 d dead. If aero & arik r d only ones flyin, dey r more prone 2 disaster cos of pressure from passengers & these companies need 2 keep dem operational. Accidents r inevitable! If dey ve bn cleared 2 operate again, definitely dey should get back on air 2 ease d pressure on odas. Dat ur beloved one die in a car accident..... I am indifferent on this issue.. If the report or rumor of that plane having some malfunctions prior to that crash is true, then govt had no business restoring that license... I didn't lose a close relative but I was unfortunately present at the funeral of a mother and only child( the Wasa family) at Gudu cementary in FCT leaving the dad who narrowly missed that flight by the whiskers without a nuclear family.. At that burial, I saw the graves of mother and her son, husband and wife all victims of this crash and I was cold to repentance.. I was particularly touched by the death of this girl( Wasa jnr), a distinguished scholar who was at the verge of resumption in an american university... I will not accuse govt of compromise but they can only be right on this if the accusations of preventable human errors are spurious .. That same crash claimed the live of Levi, the man who made my every saturday evening lively in the late 1990s - early 2000s by his GULDER OPEN HOUSE PARTY program on ray power... I beg hold that license joor! |

take dat: Initially the aviation minister said the plane crashed due to negligence on the part of DANA.This is enough excuse to revoke their license for life but FG doesnt value the lives of its citizens hence without waiting for the final report of the black box investigation they went ahead to restore their operating licenseHow will the minister know when there was no investigation then. Everybody is just shouting non-sense here. The fact that they had a crash does not stop them from flying again. Will that bring the dead back? How many people have died from road transporter? And they are all still carrying passengers everyday. |

I fly at least twice every week but even at that isn't it better to wait endlessly to get ticket than to get ticket instantly and you people wait endlessly for your return? So because of the rush at the airport they should satisfy a dead trap in the name of aeroplanes? These same corrupt men are the reasons why we don't have investors coming into the avaition, power, telecoms, mining, manufacturing and health sectors. please, without sentiment, let me ask, is closing down an airline the best way to handle crashes? most crashes have affected top airlines yet WE NIGERIANS still fly them. The era of killing an airline becasue of an accident doesnt show any sense of seriousness on the part of our country. British Airways has recorded more crashes than Dana air, and is still the number one choice of Britons and Nigerians. Air France recorded more devastating crashes than Bellview, Sosoliso and ADC combined yet still flies the skies with Nigerians flying in them. Its not more than 3yrs ago that a fully loaded Airfrance plane disappeared from radar and crashed into the ocean on its way from Brazil to France killing ALL on board? Or the Ethiopian airlines? Or Kenyan Airways? Lets not be too emotional about this. yes, Lives were lost, but the lessons should be learnt from this accident to improve our aviation sector not kill it completely. I still believe if an airline does not adhere to safety rules and regulations, it should be forced to do so. however, if it shows adequate proof to show that it is serious about behaving itself, then let them fly, afterall, the consumer (commuter) will determine what happens to such an airline. Bellview was allowed to fly despite having a more fatal accident than ADC and the consumer power KILLED the airline slowly but surely. Lets try to be objective as much as possible |
