In summary dont do the following
1. Don't try to jump start your car backwards, connect positive battery terminal first followed by negative. never mix up the terminals, that is connecting positive to negative terminal.
2. Never try to start your car when the fuel tank is empty. You could ruin the fuel pump and this may be expensive to replace.
3. Remember to change your engine oil at recommended intervals. This simple practice will keep your engine in good shape.
4. Remember to change your engine coolant at recommended intervals. Most modern engines are made of aluminum which could corrode quite badly once the anti-corrosive in the coolant breaks down at the end of its life cycle.
