don't discard d idea of customs if u have leg in customs fine, but d issue of ur Agent telling u dat he want to swap u to customs is not true,except he is a senator or minister of works. I heard immigration will recruitment so many dis year cos they are short of staffs so if u believe ur oga at d top has done it n he his sure ur name will come out, why not pray, relax, then get prepared for interview

@Nekede,i cannot categorically tell u anytin now cos even d minister announce a website more than 3month ago and uptil now,it not working.But let me just say,somtin good may be coming from ministry if interior dis month ending or b4 mid-september.We shud keep praying

NIS get as e b oo, am not aware of d new trinees in other words I don't kwn if just another rumor, I knew there were new in takes dat haven't gone for training since last year some pasted out dis year march. But frm my source whether recruitment or awaiting list, there will b new intake before dis year ends.

The Federal Government has approved the establishment of a border patrol corps and the creation of additional border posts.for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
The approval is contained in a letter with reference number DPARA//FMOI/0032/TI/51, signed by the Director of Paramilitary Services Department, Mr Keftin Amugaon, on behalf of the Minister of Interior.
The letter addressed, to the Comptroller General of Immigration, Mr David Parradang, was in response to his request for the establishment of the border patrol corps.
Parradang, upon his appointment as the NIS comptroller general in July, had sought for the approval of the Minister of Interior,Mr Abba Moro, to establish the corps.
Parradang had explained that the corps would enable the effective and holistic management of borders.
While promising vigorous patrol of the country’s porous borders, he had stressed the need to overhaul the border structure, to enable the service effectively curb the menace of illegal immigrants.
He said the service would take concrete steps to safeguard the national frontiers and make the country’s borders secured.
The comptroller, who complained of shortage of man power in the service, had however said the available personnel would be used to cover the vast borders. (NAN)
