Competitors To Make Live Performance Of Poem And Songs

Mr Danquah however expressed regret over the dominance of hip-life and burger high life in all the songs which he said “threatens bringing the nation’s nightlife to a standstill by driving big band sound to the ground.

He noted: “Whereas the LOC had expected submission for both poems and songs to dwell on the theme of the tournament the emphasis was rather on praise -singing of Ghana and about our footballers alone.

“It would have been lovely if the lyrics had attempted to interest all of Africa to get the football loving public understand that the tournament is not even for only the 16 nations that are to compete in the tournament including Ghana, but that it is for the entire African continent, hence the global launch”.
He advised the contestants to take advantage of the little time at their disposal to revise their works to be able to put up a good show when they are called to perform for the final selec
