Nigeria Vs Liberia (6 - 1): AFCON 2013 Qualifier On Saturday October-13-2012 by semid4lyfe(m): 4:09pm On Oct 11, 2012
Nigeria will play host to Liberia come Saturday October 12 in the return leg of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying round as the Super Eagles look to make a brisk return to the Africa Cup of Nations following their absence at the 2012 edition in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The Super Eagles were forced to a 2-2 in the first leg played on September 8 in Monrovia, but spirits are high within the Nigerian side to change the situation in Calabar, thanks to home advantage.

Super Eagles captain & most capped player Joseph Yobo will miss Saturday's match cos of a knee injury and Vincent Enyeama will wear the captain's armband.

In Yobo's absence, the central defense positions will be hotly contested by Azubuike Egwuekwe, Godfrey Oboabona and Efe Ambrose with two of these players expected to pair up on Saturday.

This match also marks the return of Chelsea's John Mikel Obi into the Super Eagles fold and if he's selected to play on Saturday it'd be his first match for the team under Keshi.

The Super Eagles are favoured to get the desired result but Stephen Keshi’s side are no longer the dominant force they once were and Super Eagles fans will be nervous until the game is safe.

The match will be officiated by South Africa's Daniel Bennett and he'll be blowing his whistle to signal the kick-off at exactly 4pm Nigerian time.

So what's your prediction. . .a draw, a win or loss? Drop your comments. . . .. . .

Nigeria super eagles will carry the day, they will score first, and then a mistake frm one of the defenders of the eagles will give the Liberian side an equalizer, making it 1:1 and on the second half of the match, Nigeria will score another and another goal, making it 3 goals to 1.
(3-1)

I just pray this coach gets it right. After over a year, we still don't have a first team and we have played over 10 matches plus friendlies. Him talk say na home base players go plenty for him team but look now, na foreign based players plenty pass. I knew he was joking... Have u ever been to the training facilities of an English team? They are better and more standard than our main football pitches. U need to see the one at Camp Nou.......The day i saw it, i felt like playing soccer. Even Amodu had something going for him. He had a Plan B. Look at most of Amodu's matches, when we were down, either Kanu or Obinna come in to make the difference. But now, my coach has turned the national team to a joke. We are playing with no brand no class. We don't even have a starting formation. Compared to Siasia, i have to say we have gone backward in our football. During Siasia's time, at least we were playing some really exicting football that showed promise. Now we are just playing like secondary school children........................ May God help us. One question..... IF KESHI FAILS, WHO DO WE HIRE? embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed
