Job Description

Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive unified communications (UC) solutions by translating client business requirements into a solution based on available UC technologies; oversee and participate in meetings with client stakeholders to define requirements or to create technical infrastructure plan for solution from internal sales teams. To provide pre and Post sales technical leadership, excellence and support in the area of unified communications and collaboration with an emphasis in video and visual communications solutions to our customers and cross functional teams members at our company. Perform as a technical expert and sales support resource focused on pre and post sales solution development, customer demos/trials, design and statement of work development, implementation, Optimisation, Continuous Improvement, and pre/post-sales customer support.


•Assist and lead the design and implementation of Cisco Unified Communications products such as Call Manager, Call Manager Express, Contact Center & Unity
•Perform software upgrades on existing Cisco voice deployments
•Provide administrative and end user training for Cisco voice deployments when needed
•Provide pre-sales support to account managers when needed
•Provides guidance & leadership to less experienced engineers
•Prepare client documentation including Network designs, Network Assessments, IPT Questionnaires, Implementation Plans and post implementation documentation
•Maintain a current expert knowledge of all CISCO TelePresence & Business Video products and services
•Maintain a working knowledge of Unified Communications and Collaboration with a focus on our CISCO TELEPRESENCE products and services around video collaboration integrated with other relevant technologies and solutions
•Maintain a working knowledge of non-Cisco products and services and of emerging trends in the video, unified communications and collaboration industry overall
•Assist with and participate in customer strategies that result in sales revenues and customer success


Desired Skills & Experience

Education

* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
* Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements


Experience

Minimum 3 years experience in solution engineering and deployment within the Cisco UC Portfolio and one of the following areas, virtualization, network services or systems infrastructure required



- Lab CCIE (Voice or R/S) or CCVP (CCNP-Voice)
- Solid Cisco Voice Skills (Call Manager, Unity, QOS, Meeting Place, Contact Centre, IPCC Express, Teleprescense, etc.)
- Experience in Cisco Post Sales Engineering or Technical Delivery Consulting (Pre-Sales is a plus)
- Very strong Cisco Routing and Switch / Data Networking skills
- Extensive experience in Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies
- Experience and /or desire to gain knowledge and training in over Cisco Advanced Technology Solutions is a plus (Wireless, Security, Video, Data Center, Etc.)


Additional Plus requirment

* ITIL / Project Management knowledge and certification
* Advanced VMware / Microsoft Platform Experience
* Advanced level certification (e.g., CCIE, MCSA)
* Experience in providing technical support to clients in a business-to-business environment required
* Project management experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year experience with Cisco video and conferencing solutions
* Minimum 1 year experience with UC on Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)

* Cisco certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in voice or routing and switching, Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)) preferred

Other

* Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and Visio required
* Ability to travel
* Ability to work overnights and off hours to provide project support
