Google in conjunction with South Korean company LG has added another feather of achievement unto what they had in terms innovations as the companies unveiled officially, the much talked about Nexus 4 smartphone and a larger version of the 7-inch tablet that the company began selling in July under the Nexus brand on Monday, despite the cancellation of the Google event due to the hurricane Sandy plaguing the United States.

The Nexus 4 smartphone is being made by LG Electronics and features an update to Google’s Android 4.2 system, also known as Jelly Bean.

The larger Nexus tablet is being made by Samsung Electronics Co. and features a 10-inch display screen, about the same size as Apple Inc.’s top-selling iPad.

The Nexus 10 tablet with 16 gigabytes of storage will sell for $399. That’s $100 less than the comparable version of the latest iPad.

The Nexus goes on sale in Google’s online store Nov. 13.

The battle is ongoing and will continue for years to come until a consensus is reached on the platform; both in terms of cost that satisfies the average man in the mobile and digital age.

Having said that, it is better to stick to the device that offers the technology compatible with our limited infastructure in Nigeria and Africa in general.

Nevertheless, mobile web application will truimph at the end of the day after the dust has settled.

Honestly, the gadgets market is all the more confusing. All brands and Models are strong in their own rights and what makes it even worse. None is head over heels above the other. So my take is, just get one and be happy with
it.

it aint gon affect i pad sales mate. Its just a popularity contest. Nexus 4 will sell more in asia and part of europe, while i pad 4 will sell more in america and part of europe.

Arrrgh!!! Too many choices. Well, i've learnt to stick with one device. if you decide to worry about all new innovations, you would just raise your bp unessarily, speaking from personal expirience. I've decided to stick to my samsung Gs2 till it gets old.

just imagine Google introducing Jelly Bean when we are not yet through with ICS. I even heard about the next one which is Key Lime Pie. With the rate that they are going, the letters of the english alphabet will soon be exhausted and maybe they will have to revert to numbers.

Android 2.2 -- Froyo (Frozen Yoghurt)

arindin. I have a samsung 10" which I hacked and turned it to a superuser. I installed custom firmwares and the current one on it is Cyanogen 9(stable mod not Nightly) which is equivalent to jellybean 4.1. I tested other roms such as MIUI 4 but Cyanogen 9 is just better. I'm sure u don't know all what those are. Arindin. I don't need to brag, my apple laptop retina display can cloth you for a whole year. Idiat!
