1. msn reviews aren't quite good enough or should i say well respected.
2. The model that has problem(which i know) that is being criticized is the 2.9 t-6 model not the 2.5 T-5 model and manual transmission that i want

that car is an auto. the 2000 i got for you is also an auto and about as clean as that, for $1500 less, but you refused. anyways, i believe you have your reasons.

The only engines I know listed for this car is the 2.9 I6, and T6.
T5 engine came with the 850 and other models.

MSN auto review is made by users, so if you have your own opinion on your car you can log in , and share it.
I will trust what an owner who has driven a car for 5 years say over that of a compensated expert who drives it for less than a week.

You still fell for everything I avoid in reviews!

First link is to a review by an unknown author with no credit(he has only written 2 reviews).13 words is not enough to review a $40k car.

Second link is to a diesel version, not what you were looking for in your link(US ebay), review after a couple of months use.

Third is to UK versions not sold in US, review made by someone who didn't pay for the car, only drove it for a few day(if it was ever driven)
If the reviewer had paid for the car and repairs, believe me he will write something else.

@ Sultan I appreciate the way you feel about the car, but their is an adage that says 'you don't prevent a small boy from having pointed teeth in as much as he has enough lips to cover it'. Viperman has made a choice and you have adviced. Who knows he may even be lucky even with the model that gives problem. But I am sure he has prepared his mind to troubleshoot if the need arises.

One other thing we should realise in cars is that we have different maintenance cultures. Some cars do not like faults not being fixed on time. Viperman. Go ahead and give us a feedback on this forum.

But i will buy it though, i will budget some good money for its maintenance regardless, i just love it

Hi Viperman, would you say 830,000 is too much for a 1997 Toyota Avalon V6, cleared out of Cotonou  and never been used in NigeriaWell serviced at the same Toyota dealership for 10 years and qualifies for Carfax buyback. The mileage is 197000.
