PLS I NEED A SOLUTION TO THIS MATHS PROBLEM. QUE: Two APs (arithmetic progression) have the same first and last terms. The first AP has 21 terms with a common difference of 9. How many terms has the other AP if its common difference is 4? Thanks a lot in anticipation. |

ayurdavid: PLS I NEED A SOLUTION TO THIS MATHS PROBLEM.For d first, U= a + 20d= a + 180 , then a = U - 180 and put a= U- 180 for d second U = a + (n-1)d , U= (U-180) + (n-1)4 then -180 + 4n - 4=0 , 4n = 184 and n=46. 46 terms in d second AP. SUCCESS. |
