Sesame seed is mostly exported to asian countries. China and japan are the largest importers from that region. Sesame seed is mostly found in the Northern part of nigeria. The return on investmetn on sesame seed is very good for would be exporters or investors. An example is thus, there is a current contract for $1,325 per metric tonne. Now to fill a 20 ft container you're talking about 18 mt. Now you can get a metric tonne for like N120,000 excluding transportation.Now filling up a 20 ft container including transportation is about 2.1 million naira. looking at the price of USD1,325 per mt. then you'll have made a return of over a million naira. Export business is profitable,but it is not easy to start. Particularly sourcing contract.

Presently, there is opening for investor that are interested in sesame seed export. There is an existing contract you can subscribe to. The Green House of Biotechnology and research center has carried out a
this research, through the Ebonyi State University Abakaliki, this is
to determine the Green House germination period of the (59) fifty nine
varieties of the sesame sesamum indicum. These varieties of sesame
sesamum indicum was collected from several locations across the
country which includes National Cereals and Research Institute in
Jigawa State, the Benue State (NCRI) Nasarawa State, Abuja, Kogi,
Niger State and Gombe State. These varieties of grops were planted on
the 17th of December, 2014 in with a mixture of soil and sand,
saw-dust and manure at the ratio of 3:2:1 in a (59) fifty nine
buckets. The germination periods starts from day 1 to day -7 with a
total mean of 3.3 +1.28, and the percentage value in
a)      7days = 3.6%
b)      6days =1.8%
c)      5days =12.5%
d)      4days =28.6%
e)      3days=30.4%
f)      2days=19.6%
g)      1day =3.6% respectively.
