Residents of Ahoada East Local Council of Rivers State are still at shock following the alleged murder of a 40 year old woman by her husband.

According to a Guardian Newspaper report, Udeh allegedly killed his wife after a quarrel between them at their family house in Ikata community in Ahoada East Local Council of Rivers State.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at about 4:30am following a prolonged argument between the couple.

Reacting to the report, Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Ndabawa confirmed the incident.

He said police were investigating the matter to get full details of what actually transpired between the man and his wife before she was killed.

Ndabawa told news men that the victim’s corpse had been deposited at a mortuary while the husband had been arrested and being detained for investigation.
