From the quoted verse, it is clear... "Do not say the same words over and over again".

Jesus was talking about meaningless repetition in a particular prayer. Note that it is not the same as praying about the same thing at another time.
An example is saying 'die by fire' several times in a repetitive manner in the same prayer. It might sound right to many 'prayer warriors', but it actually falls into this category of prayers Jesus condemned.

Prayer ought to be meaningful communication with God, as we would a father, and not some sort of incantation.
The fact that professed Men of God do it does not make it right. The Bible is the authority not pastors.
