Why do Nigerians think Japanese vehicles are better than Europeans, Koreans, Americans and German vehicles? The world is changing everyday and technology is swiftly changing the way vehicles opereate. There are parts available for most vehicles in Nigeria. I have been watching and asking myself why Nigerians don't patronize other vehicle brands except Japanese brands. In the last seven years, there have been recalls after recalls of all Japanese brands on monthly bases. Has anyone ever heard where German, Korean, or any other european vehicles being recalled for major flaw like the toyotas, hondas, nissan, and co? What is the problem with Nigerians when making car choices? Imagine someone who has never bought or used a car before in his life telling me how bad European vehicles are. I asked him how did he know European vehicles are bad? He told me he heard it from people before.

Ladies and gentlemen, why do Nigerians mostly buy Japanese vehicles and not other brands?

This is one good reason among many others.
Nigerian are mostly used car buyer don't get me wrong and which other brand have a resale value better than Japanese cars?
Some Other brand are better off brand new (Korean), too many sensor is one reason I stay away from German cars, I hate driving with all kinda light coming up on dash just because sensor connector in my seat is failing..
Not all Nigerian mechanic fix cars with computer which you definitely need on German cars for example, reset inspection light, deactivate sensor to change brakes pads among other. Also what's makes BMW interior fall apart so quick? I don't quite understand.
German car drives greater don't get me wrong, I love how it handle and the feel on a good road but when it comes to Nigeria bad roads that wear your car off quickly I think am better off Japanese. (My opinion)

In fact, the autotechnicians they have are less knowledgeable compare to other countries. Imagine I sent an almost brand new camry to Lagos and a mechanic came to look at it and in a blink of an eye he removed the thermostat. According to him, by removing the thermostat enables the car to perform better. What? I asked what made him think the car not performing well for him to decide to remove the thermostat.

Its not just nigeria. German and Japanese cars are renowned even in the US for their durability and their cost-efficiency
However, german cars are not popular due to the scarce resources in nigeria for it I guess
Hence japanese cars are common. Who wants to buy a korean car that's worth less than half its price a year later??
Do the math please.
