Nigeria’s opponents in the first group game of the
2013 Africa Cup of Nations, Stallions of Burkina
Faso, will not have two of their top stars on parade
when they come face-to-face with the two-time
African champions in Nelspruit on Monday January
21st, Complete Sports can confirm. The duo of midfielder Alain Traore and Charles
Kabore will not be available for selection and the
situation will be a big setback to the team that are
desperate to secure a favourable result against
Nigeria in their first game of the competition to
boost their chances of making it to the knock-out stages. According to the report, Traore is currently nursing
an injury and despite the fact that he has started
running as a positive step toward his return to full
fitness, he has been completely ruled out of the first
match. The team medics will however access his
condition ahead of their second game of the tournament against Ethiopia on January 25 while
central midfielder Kabore will also miss the game
against the Super Eagles due to cards accumulation
he was carrying from the qualifiers. The Super Eagles who rounded off their
preparation for AFCON in their Faro camp yesterday
with a 5-0 spanking of a Portuguese second
division side, Farense, in a warm-up game are
expected to land in South Africa later
today.Nigeria’s opponents in the first group game of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, Stallions of
