I'm considering buying a car. Though I have a budget of up to N10m... I've looked at several cars but my main question is, should I go for brand new tear rubber or buy second hand... If I buy a brand new car is it waste of money... btw I thought of buying a Honda, Range Rover sports or a mercedes benz S500... pls wise contributions. thanks

Typically, a car loses 25% of its value the day its driven out of the car shop and registered.

On the other hand, there are pre-owned used cars with very low mileage which are still as good as new(Some are certified by the dealers).

In my opinion, you can still get something really close to a brand new for less than the price of the brand new.

And if you are bent on getting a brand new ride then you might consider importing direct from the US as against getting same ride here in Nigeria because for same amount or less you can get an American specs with more options compared to the specs sold in Nigeria.

The whole idea is getting more value for the money spent
