VACANCIES FOR PROJECT OFFICERS

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

- Taking part in programme, administrative and logistic duties and activities of various programmes and projects and contributes to the achievement of their goals.
- Participating in planning/ design, implementation and monitoring and review of projects.
- Taking active part in compiling and writing quarterly, half-yearly and annual reports, project summaries, and other necessary reports.
- Contributing significantly to new business development.
- Taking part in conceptualizing, developing and writing grant proposals, concept notes and letters of inquiry.
- Taking part in developing research protocols, implementing field research, and preparation of manuscripts.
- Undertaking any training that may be required for effective performance.
- Undertaking any other duties and responsibilities as appropriate for the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in the Social Sciences, Arts, Management, Humanities, with at least second class lower division.
- Masters degree in any of the above fields is an advantage.
- Evidence of training in computer/ IT

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS
Minimum of 2-4 years experience in designing, planning/ developing, implementing and reporting for community health and social development projects.
Demonstrated ability to work with community groups, private sector, faith-based organizations, government agencies, health institutions, educational projects and civil society organizations.
Willingness and ability to travel very often and carry out other duties connected with the projects.
Proficiency in computer packages (word processing, spreadsheet, database, PowerPoint, Internet.
