I see Nigeria defeating the Malians, and therefore, extend her (Naija) AFCON unbeaten run to 6 consecutive matches.

Come on Super Eagles!

Very great game from the Nigerians against the Ivoriens. That was a very difficult game and like someone said, they played 150% beyond themselves. If Nigeria continue to play like this and stay disciplined, I think Mali will not be a problem.

However if they play the rubbish that they played in the group games, they will be playing for the 3rd place as usual wink

If MALI want peace in their country then SE must win。
otherwise GEJ must order our troops to return and present their president an invoice for the N7B we ve spent there already。

I got in here expecting the usual charlatans and nayslayers to proclaim doom for the SE, but my dismay has been astounded. Nonetheless, i truly hope the boys will fight for the kill against the Malians. I expect that from them. I trust the coaching crew not to take the game slightly. As i mentioned earlier to those who doubted the possibility of the Eagles beating the Elephants of Ivory coast, hear it again; football is played by 2 teams with equal number of playing men. Anybody can win! Football is not played by name, and has never been! If it has, then teams like England, Brazil and Germany will be winning the world cup every other year, taking turns among themselves. And like i asked someone on saturday; name one single department where the Ivoiriens are better than the Nigerian lads! They don't have a Messi or Iniesta who can do extraordinary things with the ball, neither do they have a Casilas who is a trojan warrior between they sticks. Yaya is just an average player despite all the hype and standard built around him. Drogba is way past his prime (a 20yr old ate him for breakfast), Kalou and Gervinho are not world beaters. So!

The game against the Malians is an open one. The better disciplined team wins the day. Up Naija!

alpha conde: The book of stephen 3 vs 3-6, 7 - 10 and moses proclaimed to the people The God that delivered us from the ethiopians will defend us in the presence of the ivorians. 4 and after the fifth day after noon before nightfall it came to pass that the nigerians defeated the ivorians. 5 The king of the nigerians one King Jonathan danced naked in Celebration at a place called the eagles square near his palace.6 and the lord blessed them amongst the football race of africa
7.After some time news came from a distance country in the southern part of africa that the malians were approaching the nigerian territory. 8 The nigerians became scared and on the 3rd day after they have received the news 9 the lord appeared to apostle sunday mba and promised him that the malians will fall before them easier than any other battle they had faced in the past.10 Mba believed the lord and again it came to pass, the malians became slaves to the nigerians.

The Book of AFCON 13: 1- 16

1. And d day came
Even d day of the Lord, this Sunday.
2. That d adversary of Nigeria, these Ivorians
Came threatening
3. And Stephen, d son of Keshi,
the commander of Nigeria Army
entreated d praying Nigerians to pray
4. And in churches and mosques,
in mountains and camps
prayers were offered
5. And behold on d battle ground
The army, these super eagles fought
forcing d Ivorians 2 retreat
6. But their champion, this Goliath called Drogba
a Nigerian exile known before as Aderogba
came flanked by his generals
7. Even world famous generals-Toure, Eboue, Kalou, Gervinho,..
taking d battle to the Nigerians
8. But d Spirit of d Lord stirred one son of Mba
Even d one called Sunday,
the least in d Nigerian camp
9. And thus he said 2 the commander
Who is this uncircumcized Ivorian
that he should defy the armies of the giant of Africa,
10. And he was told to sit down
that even Mikel, Victor, Yobo, .....
these warriors that have done battle
in far countries
cannot dare this Goliath, Drogba,
11. And he told d commander
for this purpose was I named Sunday,
to do battle on d day of the Lord,
12. And d commander, Keshi urged him go
13. And Sunday arose and caused harvoc
in d camp of d Ivorians
14. And the armies Ivory Coast,
these adversaries of Nigerian
was utterly destroyed.
15. And, it came to pass that Ivorian armies were no more.
16. And the camp of the Nigerians were filled with praises and dancing.
Great things the Lord has done. Selah.[/b]

For Mali, we still don't have a choice but win because even as 99.9% of Nigerians jeered the eagles, they made it now they all cheer for eagles, mama mia!!! What's gonna happen?

The win against the elephants was pure fortune. The elephants just had a bad day at the office. If they had played at half capacity we would not be here today.

I HOPE WHAT HAPPENED IN 2004 WON'T REPEAT ITSELF. THE CAMEROUNIANS WERE A FORCE TO BE REKONED WITH. THEY WERE D DEFENDING CHAMPIONS, BUT NIGERIA WON THEM AND SENT THEM PACKING BY 2 GOALS TO 1. THE NATION ROARED AND CHEERED WITH JOY AND HAPINESS. BUT WHEN WE PLAYED D SEMI-FINAL MATCH, WE WERE KNOCKED OUT BY TUNISHA COS WE UNDERRATED THEM.
I HOPE WE WON'T GET OVER-CONFIDENT IN OURSELVES AND UNDER ESTIMATE THE MALIANS, BECAUSE WE HAVE NEVER WON OUR LAST 5 SEMI-FINAL MATCHES. WE ALWAYS SETTLE 4 3RD PLACE MATCH.
I HOPE SE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT NIGERIANS AGAIN, WIN D SEMI-FINAL MATCH FINALLY BRING THE CUP HOME AFTER 23 YEARS.
my 2kobo......

Keep up the good work but the work is not finished yet. Prepare for Mali, the semi-finals the where Nigieria usually stumble. 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2010. History must not repeat itself. The game against Mali should be approached as if it was the final.
match.

Go Ahead Eagles!!!
