A lady's handbag which contained
her cell phone, credit card, wallet
etc., was stolen. 20 minutes later,
when she called her husband,
from a pay phone telling him
what had happened, hubby says, “I received your text asking about
our pin number and I have replied
a little while ago”. When they
rushed down to their bank, the
bank staff told them all that all the
money were already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the
stolen cell phone to text the
husband in the contact list and
got hold of the pin number within
20 minutes and has withdrawn all
the money from their bank account.
NOTE::
There is nothing really wrong in
disclosing relationship between
you and people in your contact
list. I AM NOT AGAINST either in using names like home, honey,
hubby, sweetheart, dad, mom, etc
What's important here is, when
sensitive information is being
asked through text, “confirm” by
calling back...let's be wise and sensitive. Also, when you are
being text by friends or family to
meet them somewhere, be sure to
call back to confirm that all
message came from them. If you
don’t reach them, be careful about going places to meet “family and
friends" who text you.

We all giving you the privilege to be first to comment cheesy

OP, nice one there. I wonder if it happened to me, I will lose all. Almost every information about me is in my handbag.

Time to change strategy!

i get the drift of the story but the bit that all the money in the account was withdrawn is a bit unrealistic. there's a withdrawal limit in every cash machine and the petty thief would have needed to present his ID at the bank to make a withdrawal. Unless the cash in their account is lower than the withdrawal limit, there's no way this story is 100% correct.

You can withdraw forty thousand naira at a go now, multiply this by six and you know that isn't a small money!
