Hazmat crews spent hours rescuing a 600-pound Pennsylvania man after cutting a hole in the side of his house so he could be removed.

The station reported that the man required medical attention and was delivered to a nearby hospital on a flatbed truck.

A neighbour, told the station that she was relieved to see the man alive.

"It's very sad and shouldn't have come to that, but at least they got him out and he's alright," Lee Hanyo (a neighbour) said, according to the report. "That's all that really matters."

The man's name was not released by authorities.
