The coach shouldn't have played Ambrose, what was he thinking? He played a vital game on Sunday night and the coach would expect him to celebrate deep into the night with the afcon victory. He didn't even consider the distance between SA and Uk, the fatigue factor and some other things...
The coach made a blunder and he should be blamed.

rman: Efe Ambrose is the 12th player for Juventus tonight.

He gave away two goals and missed a free header.

His performance tonight is horrendous and it doesn't potray him as a player that played an integral part on our team that just won the Nations cup.

Scoreline sould have been 1-1 if he had scored and not made those school boy errors
Efe should have refused to play. Try flying from Jburg to Glasgow and then play ninety minutes soccer after a few hours nap. Neil Lennon yabbed.

Yeah I agree. He should never have made him play.

mukina2: the coach had no business starting ambrose sad
Probably because he's a very reliable CB for them
Yet he put Efe on the wrong stage tonight
How can you bring in someone from tropical Africa who has played 3 games in the last 8 days to a freezing Europe and thrust him to confront Seria A's leaders when his African team mates are currently nacking Apako in Abuja and beyond embarassed embarassed embarassed
Neil Lennon just showed how unintelligent he is as a coach

guys guys, calm down....

Yes Efe was beyond horrible

Yes, the coach was daft to draft him into the squad for a very important game.

Yes, Efe did not close down the spaces

but you see, soccer is a team sport. If Efe wasnt able to do shit, the rest of

the defence or players should have backed him up. The celtic players were too

lazy to track back when they was a counter attack!!! Thus allowing Juventus to hit them 3 goals.

Efe should have done better with that header. That was a free header there.

A question has to be asked though, Apart from that efe`s free header, which other clear cut chance

did celtic create??

The f**ing coach ain't got any one better than Ambrose that's the cold truth.

I blame the coach for using Efe Ambrose. Is there no other player to play his role. How on earth do you use a guy who went through the rigours of AFCON, flew from Joborg to Scotland and was playing a top class match within few hours of landing. I was shocked seeing the guy on the field.

Celtic winger Kris Commons has criticised the performance of team-mate Efe Ambrose following the Hoops’ 3-0 first-leg defeat to Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Ambrose only arrived back in Scotland on Tuesday morning, following Nigeria's successful Africa Cup of Nations campaign, and was included in the starting line-up after insisting he was fit enough to play.

Ambrose misjudged the flight of the ball to allow Juventus to open the scoring after less than three minutes, before missing Celtic’s best chance of the game with a free header as well as losing possession to Mirko Vucinic who tucked home the third goal and effectively ended Celtic’s chances of progression.

"Look, the manager picked [Ambrose]. The manager pulled him to one side and asked him if he was feeling okay. He said he was feeling brilliant," Commons said after the game.

"You know, if he wasn’t feeling okay, then he should have said so. If he felt good, then he should have put in a better performance.

^^^^^

The coach and that Kris are id'iots.

There is no player in this world that you would ask whether they are feeling up to it that they will tell you no.

Yobo was telling Keshi and everyone that cared to listen that he was up to it but its left to the coach to make the right judgement.

Asamoah came back from AFCON days before the match but the Juve coach didnt start him. Thats the difference between the two clubs.
