On a serious note, I think most of us do it unintentionally. Until yesterday, I never had a key holder on my car key so imagin if I was drop that single key in my handbag each time I park ( mind you my handbags are quite roomy with all sorts of stuff in there). I may spend the next 30mins trying to find the key when its time to drive off. To save myself the stress I just hold it in my hand till I get a table or somewhere safe to drop it.
