Happy birthday Nairaland. Seun,I think at this stage,you should be considering new innovations so as to still be relevant in the game. Whateva you decide,I for one,am solidly behind you. Am a proud Nlander and wil always be grateful to God for using you to make this site happen. It had been long overdue. We needed something like this a long time. Nigeria would have gone a long way. Bt the question is 'how many Nigerians are Nlanders'? I think each of the 1million members have a task of educating our teeming youths on the importance of joining a forum such as this. This is because growth and change of a nation starts with the people. Not ordinary people,bt enlightened people, people who know their left from their right, a pple who can not be tossed around by any news wave from anywhere without verifying the sourcɛ, a people who have learnt the hard way nt to trust easily because of sweetmouth, a pple who believe in result oriented approach to life and nt the certificate way, a pple who have a broader view of life,religion,education, romance and bizness and nt the old myopic way before, a pple who believe in constructive criticism and nt destructive criticism, a pple who appreciate the good others are doing and nt bringing them down or winching them(lol), a pple who believe tribal and religious sentiments should give way to logical and reasonable idealogies, a pple whose paddlestick is their ability to learn something new everyday, a pple who wil find ways to make themselves happy even when the world is screaming sadness, a pple who are willing to share how they've succeeded freely with others and nt those who believe you must suffer or pay to make it 'since i didnt get it on a platter of gold', a pple who believe that diversification is the way to go in our economy, especially agriculturally and nt the old belief of sulking up to / gathering round the wicked old monopolistic oil thieves/moguls, a pple who believe that governance should be everybody's bizness and nt one man's, a pple who believe in fairness and finally a pple who wil inspire you to be your best. I just want to say that Nairaland has not only been great for me in getting through the grind of daily life, but also in finding inspiration and support among fellow Nigerians who share my common fears, frustrations, and aspirations. Through it, we are confronted with the problems and decay of Nigerian society, but we also discovered the strength and wisdom of the common Nigerian.
