Cardinals Peter Turkson (Ghana), Luis Antonio Tagle (Manila) & Leonardo Sandri (Bueno Aires) amongst others all stood the chance of becoming the 266th pontiff, but it was eventually given to Jorge Bergoglio from Buenos Aires..

Ghanian, Peter Turkson was the bookies favourite but we knew it wan't going to be given to him just like it wasn't given to cardinal Arinze last time around.
I know it isn't about qualification alone but do you think it would ever be given to a black man?
