Hello! We needed to have a central internet connection at my office. After having a couple of disappointments with some ISPs. We settled for Swift.

The problem is that the Wimax modems are more fragile than eggs. I thought plugging it to UPS is a good idea, to my chagrin it stopped working less than a week after purchase. The dealer told us that it was damaged by electricity fluctuation (on a UPS?). We paid about 40 per cent for a replacement, the replacement got damaged after it failed to connect on Monday. The same issue arose after being put on another UPS.

Now, I have another replacement and I am apprehensive about plugging it lest it gets burnt.

When I say burnt, it still indicates power when plugged but all internet connections and indicators stop working.

Has anybody else experienced this? What is the solution?

Note: The current at my office is stable. A radio is currently working as I type and it has never gotten burnt.

Thank you.
