Crisis In AIT As Workers Plan To Close Down Station by aproko247: 4:54pm On Mar 28, 2013
If information reaching Aproko247 is
anything to go by, then Raymond Dokpesi,
the Chairman of Daar Communications,
owners of AIT and Raypower FM, is in for
a big trouble.
This is because some of his workers are
furious with him over what they call
‘suffering unbearable no more.’ Digs done
by Aproko247 unearthed that the
management of the station has allegedly
made life unbearable for them (workers)
as they no longer enjoy what other human
beings enjoy. We learnt that the crisis has
affected many families of the workers.
Sources divulged to us that cases of most
junior level workers of the organisation
are just like the saying in the local
parlance ‘monkey dey work, baboon dey
chop.’
As sources claimed, top management
staffs allegedly get over N2million every
year for wardrobe and house allowances
while salaries of junior workers dating
back to 2009 are still unpaid.
We now hear that some of the staffs of
AIT have been ejected from their houses,
their children driven away from schools,
hospital bills now very difficult to pay due
to accrued debts because of non payment
of their salaries.
What has reportedly become more
terrible in the matter is that some senior
management staffs were alleged to have
told Dokpesi that all is well with the
company’s staffs. The top staffs were also
alleged to be living large which is the same
picture they are allegedly painting to
Dokpesi about the junior staffs of the
organisation.
A source told Aproko247 Dokpesi does not
know about the plights of the workers
because some management staffs
allegedly don’t tell him the true picture of
things.
The situation is reportedly terribly bad as
we now hear that some workers are
planning to shut down the station until
their plights are looked into by the
management.
A source divulged to Aproko247 that the
planned shut down of the media house will
hold in a matter of days. But details of the
planned action were not disclosed to us so
as not to jeopardise the action.
Calls put through to Tony Akiotu, the GMD
of the company, were not responded to as
at press time.

DAAR Communications is a big family. One shouldn't rule out internal crisis and ill-feelings in a large community. My appeal to all the DAAR members is that, let's toil the path of dialogue in resolving our differences. We are too big to have no challenge and too united to crumble. With the 2nd coming of DAARSAT, enemies will design many tactics to disintegrate us. We must shun any untoward actions that can allow our rivals to penetrate us. One of such prizes to pay for being "the best" is to bury our differences. the fire-wood of this world is for those who can take heart.
