Christ the reigning King
How can you explain this ?
The one who was conceived by the holy spirit
The one who we look up to as God " I and my Father are one"
The one who the great prophets talked about
The one who is to come
The one that is to give hope to the world
Murdered and buried...
The scene above was a very big disappointed to the early believers, they never believed in His resurrection power Luke 24, Matthew 28, Mark 16 , Remember Christ used the story of Jonah to narrate His resurrection but they could'nt unravel it, They thought death of Christ, brought shame, panic and a big disappointment to the early believers. All of them were hiding , not wanting the public to know they have anything to do with Christ. Even the Pharisee and the Sadusee and got stared up , thinking and saying to themselves " How can the coming king die, the one who said He will destroy the temple and build it in one day " they were expecting Him to rise up with mighty Angels to destroy they that was trying to kill and rescue Himself. But remember Christ said before then "I could send a legion of Angels "
But know ye now that Christ has to die as a sacrificial lamb that we might have life , what would have made a man suffer this excruciating pains in vain.
Below is a glimpse of what He suffered
" After being striped , He was flogged with whips with tongs and He bled.
His hands and legs were nailed,
and He bled
Stretching your two hands up in form of the cross for a long period of time, will call for the legs to support but in Christ situation the legs were already nailed
At this the ball and socket joints in the shoulder blade will have severe pressure and later rupture, this was the major reason Christ cried out loudly ( not forgetting His was in human form)
Before he finally died, the Romans brought big mass of wood to break his bones to confirm Him dead (but remember Prophet Isaiah said non of His bones will be broken) before He was hit with the wood He gave up "
Finally He died and resurrected coming to reign forever, picking Saul now Paul His number one persecutor to become one of His greatest Apostles.
Our Lord Yahushua is alive forever Amen. I will conclude with this.....
"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." (Romans 6:4).
