The Imo state
Police Command
has announced the
arrest of an elderly
couple who
specializes in
buying newly born
babies.

At a media briefing
in Owerri, the Public
relations Officer of
the Command, Joy
Elemoko named
the couple as Mr.
and Mrs Paulinus
Ogugua.

They were alleged
to have purchased
a two-week old
baby at the sum of
eight hundred
thousand naira in
Aba, Abia State.
Elemoko said the
couple were
apprehended by
the Police Ambush
Squad in Ideato
North area of the
state with the
baby.

The PPRO said the
command equally
paraded a 33 year
old suspected child
trafficking king-
pin, Amarachi
Njoku, who
disguises to beat
security personnel.
The suspects will
appear in court
after thorough
investigation.
