Please lets not deviate from the topic. The Outdoor advertising agencies of Nigeria (OAAN) have standard rates for each state. Unipole Spectacular billboard, like the ones around Third Mainland bridge and Ikoyi (they are the ones that are big with one thickleg) is 9 million naira per year. There are other rates for other boards. The reason for the increase in price from 5 million last year to 9 million is to regulate the industry and discourage the indiscriminate use of boards everywhere and to sanitise the environment. So, its only the big players like Glo, Celtel, Mtn, Coke, e.t.c that can afford such. The medium scale industries can advertise on smaller and less reachable boards like the Backlit, 48 sheet, e.t.c. and don't forget that it all depends on the company's target audience for them to know whether its advisable to advertise in newspapers, t.v./radio, satationeries, t-shirts, caps, biros, buckets, e.t.c. |

Hi People, A bike man was yesterday crushed by the gantry of a signage which was being erected by Alt Media Outdoor Advertising Agency. The man later died but his passenger was saved. There was no traffic control on that road (Kudirat Abiola rd., Oregun). Now, I hear the owner of Altmedia is the Makanjuola Alabi, who is also the MD of LASAA, the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency. DOes anybody know if this is true? If it is, isn't there clash of interest here? Now who holds the company accountable. The bike man had two wives and four children who are in Sokoto. |
