Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) fired its former manager Dario Bonetti in October 2011 two days after the team qualified for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). He was replaced with Herve Renard, who led the Zambia team to victory as the 2012 AFCON champions. The Italian leader demanded $1.6 million from his former employer. However, FIFA ordered FAZ to pay Bonetti $400,000 for breach of contract.
