I know nothing about studying in Russia. However, if you needed info on a country well known to me, you would get it free of charge and trust me when i say you can process your admission yourself. There is no big deal to such matters, just advice from experienced people. Not never-do-well's who are always out to separate the naive from their cash.

Just in case you don't understand parables, "Naijabigfish" is looking for a loan. So be guided and carry out background checks before you enter correspondence with anybody.

so you've never watched news reports on CNN about how black students are regularly knived even killed in train stations, bus stops even on the street in russia by skin heads. And it happens so often that the UN had to launch an official complaint to the russian government who "promised to do something" . Mehn studying in russia is absolutely not worth it. Choose somewhere else.

Well, you might not like it when i say it, but forget about going to russia. You are not even studying medicine, one of the few courses that's possible to be found in english. The language is difficult and racism is not a joke. Students in russia, run to ukraine - which is not a good place too. just check out this story - (links) http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-830869 ; https://www.facebook.com/FreeOlaolu?ref=stream.

So in all don't go to eastern europe. You can do better for your future. Of the countries, you mentioned, poland is the best. Low racism, and a schengen country, so you can move around europe during the holidays.

Ultimately the decision is yours, you can go to russia, but I can bet 99% you will experience a racial attack during your time there, and you'll ultimately know you could have done better.

i apply through a lady from the school, if u try to apply direct, the school may not respond, it is 50 50, u must go for preparatory language course for the first year, i dont have idea about schools fees for ur own course, u can ask them during admission processing..i did not pay 1naira, all money are paid on arrival at russia federation, u dont have to pay before you apply, russia is likely to adopt germany pattern from september, it is best for u to apply now...

What do you mean by German method??

before schools will start processing your invitation, applicants must send return ticket money to school, the money wil be freeze in student school account until after completion of programs...as at now, u just have to buy a one way ticket which cost around 90 to 110k, by september, students law will change.likely to sign it into law that international student can work, that is the purpose of the law in order to still attract more students..maybe i dont know...i got this information from rector at moscow power engineering institute...that is the fact..if truely u are going for study purpose, i think u should ignore the issue of work and oportunities...na ur head go decide for u..over 390 to 400 schools in russia, just go for the top 10..dont just apply in anyhow schools, labour market knows about qualities of schools wit standard facilities...

Hey Op, these are agents trying to rush you to apply quickly so you don't change your mind. I will seriously advice you to choose anywhere else other than eastern europe. Personally i studied in malaysia and its VERY good there (Asia is cheaper than anywhere else). But if money is not a problem to you, then go for Australia, New Zealand, or Western Europe. Canada is good too.

Yes, I have visited Russia before. Poland no, but I know some people who went there.

And to the guy saying you can work there, and you just have to learn the language faster. I tell you yes he is right. Only thing is jobs are things like construction worker, breaking of big stones, or road construction, "gryshik" which means someone who carries heavy loads, in the market or at a site, club bouncer if blacks own the club, etc. All manual labour, and its not like UK where you get paid well. Check their GDP, most of the citizens are poor, do you think they will pay a black man well? If you happen to have money, you can open a shop, but believe me, its difficult and you can lose everything one day. IF the shop owner comes and increases rent by 200%, that's it. Or you could get strapped with a fine for no reason. Also, have you ever tried standing on he street and selling in -30 degrees Celsius? Look I have talked enough. Don't buy the agents bullshit.

Bros the thing is, it's easier to get Admission in Eastern Europe, that's what i was told.. But if you can help me with Malaysia, I've got no problem with it..

Google is your best friend mate. Simply type malaysia universities, or australian (just whereever you want to go). Open there websites, go to contact us, take there email/phone number(though calling them will be faster), ask them which documents to send in order to apply for ..... course in undergraduate/postgraduate, scan the requested documents and send, most uni's will reply within 2 weeks, and its highly likely they'll offer you admission since they themselves are looking for more students, take the offer letter and go to embassy, within few days you have ur visa at hand, buy plane ticket, and with your school fees at hand, off you go. simple. All the above listed can be done in less than 2 months. DON'T LET ANY AGENT WASTE YOUR TIME AND EAT YOUR MONEY, you can do everything by your self

If you have any questions like which Universities are cheaper(in malaysia), how they operate e.t.c I will be glad to help to the best of my knowledge. Ask your questions here on nairaland
