^ NO! A Christian is different from the Jews. Christ cancelled the laws that separate Jews and Non-Jews and made ONE NEW MAN in HIMSELF, not governed by the law of Moses for the Jews ONLY. The law of Moses (Torah) is NOT meant for Christians but ONLY for the Jews. There's ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE in the New Testament for Christians to tithe, none but rather, Hebrews 7 writes to the Jews who were still practicing Judaism to come fully to the Grace of Christ and abandon legalisms of the law of Moses. Hebrews 7 cancelled tithing also. |

Christians are not meant to tithe. Tithe doctrine in christianity is a false teaching derived from twisting scriptures. |

mysticgal: day God doesn't put people in hell for not tithing sweerie. The sins that God judges are clearly stated in scriptures and I didn't see 'non tithing' listed therein. Take your time sweerie, and study more on the word. What God blesses is Grace based giving. |

There is such a thing as a Religious Spirit. That is what the above quote shows. Paul in Colosians 2:23ff said 'Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self imposed worship, their false humility, and their harsh treatment of the body, BUT THEY LACK ANY VALUE IN RESTRAINING SENSUAL INDULGENCE' In other words, the religious spirit would make you find security in what you do for God and not what he has done for you(grace) - which leads to His Spirit working in us and reforming our Character. For bearing the fruits of the spirit is all the law that the NT Christian is called to keep. Not tithing, not going to church, not deliverances, not revival programming... etc but bearing his fruits. Which the Spirit does through us and not via religious duties as these thing cannot restrain sin - sensual indulgences. So whether you pay your tithe or not, how does that help you become a better, holy, fruit bearing person. 1 Like |

mysticgal: dayDon't you think its absurd for God to put you in hell simply because you didn't pay your tithe? If you must know, your sins which you've refused to admit and confess is what would lead you to hell and not whether or not you pay your tithe. If you sincerely want to obey God's word, then stick to your bible and refrain from following your pastor's lips. |
