1. Your Prostate starts to gradually grow larger and larger from about the age of 35 as an Afro adult. That’s five years earlier compared to white males. Prostate enlargement is very often synonymous with prostate health risks. This is why every matured male in our community should make the effort to contribute towards the health of their prostate from very early on.

2.The fact that prostate cancer can remain largely undetected until at advance stages makes it even deadlier.

3.About half of all men will suffer prostate enlargement by the time they reach the age of 60, and by the age of 80 about 90 percent of our men will experience challenges relating to enlarged prostate.

4.African and Caribbean adult males are likely to develop prostate cancer approximately five years earlier than Caucasian counterparts.

5.Men with one or more first degree relatives (father, brother or son) diagnosed with prostate cancer have an even higher risk of the disease.

6.An unusually high stress level is often associated with most forms of cancers; and prostate cancer is not an exception.

7.Prostate cancer should not always be a deadly affair, as long as it is diagnosed on time.

8.Prostate Disease is not all about prostate cancer alone. It includes the more rampart disorders such as Prostate Enlargement, and of course Prostatitis.

9.The symptoms of prostate enlargement, or prostatis affects as much as 8 out of every 10 African or Caribbean adult males, aged 50 and above.

10.And just in case you are a bible believer, please understand that the maintenance of your physical health is not God’s responsibility. Fail to tend your Garden of Eden (your body) and the weeds of ailments are going to grow there.

11.A culture of a simple PSA prostate health check for at least twice a year is highly recommended for a typical adult Afro or Caribbean male.

12.It is an open secret! Going to see the local GP for a routine check has never been the normal “brother” thing. But is that actually a sign of weakness, as we are made to think?

13.Once we were told that “what you don’t know won’t hurt you” But how true is that really? these days, we know better that “what you don’t know is even deadlier!

14.Our men generally never really bother about their health until they are into their 50s and 60s; but by then the cumulative effects of the past years of health neglect have started to catch on.

15. We are African men, we are strong inside and outside; we are indestructible! Right? WHAT IF YOU ARE WRONG?
