Dr. Asuzu Dr. Ramas Okoye Asuzu, an acclaimed religious healer, teacher and manufacturer of spiritual paraphernalia, is an embodiment of spiritual, natural and physical radicalism. Gbubemi God's Covenant Snr visits his enchanting temple-cum- gallery-museum and brings you this story from the heart of Nri, the ancestral homeland of Igbo race. PARADING two dwarfs in his palace, bubbling with life and energy. Dr. Asuzu is an all- round super-brat without apologies to anyone. He introduced himself as Prophet Dr. Ramas Okoye Asuzu, Eze-Oba, Akajiofor Ndigbo of Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. He is the founder of Liberation Church of Absolute God, a universal worship centre as it combines all religious doctrines, norms and values to form a whole. To this end, he is strong preacher of religious tolerance. According to him, religious division is not necessary because all humanity were created by only one God; thus all religions should be relatively one and symbiotic in doctrine. An iconoclast of a sort, he is renowned as a prophet, traditionalist, naturalist and universal thinker. Dr. Asuzu was born in 1957 in his country home, Nri. He attended primary education at Central School, Nri and later moved to Lagos, where he attended Baptist Academy, Obanikoro. started active business as a worker under the late Chief K.O. Mbadiwe, where he rose to the rank as manger of Transport Department in Mbadiwe's empire. He held the position until he came in contact with some India citizens who introduced him into practice of Hare Krishna religion. It was during that practice that he rediscovered himself as a gifted prophet and decided to go deeper in religious ways of life. Consequently, he became a healer and a teacher at the same time. He learnt how to produce and apply things like candle, soap, incense, oil and other items for worship and finding solutions to human problems. Thereafter, he resigned from Mbadiwe's empire to become religious consultant and pries. From there he founded what is today known and called the Church of Absolute God. Today, Dr. Asuzu has over 60 people as employees who help in the manufacturing of his temple's products. His Philanthropy Dr. Asuzu is a man with a deep passion for uprightness, welfare of the less privileged and good governance. He spends most of his earnings on charity and media outreach in propagating his views and opinions for good behavior and character among the people. As he often says, "The overall welfare, peace and progress of mankind depend on good character and behavior with utmost respect to God and natural laws." He also emphasized on charity works as the ultimate way to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. In his observation, the gap between the rich and the poor in the world today is very alarming and the only solution is for the rich to render charity services to the poor. To actualize his philosophy he championed a charity outfit he called Asuzu Foundation through which he renders altruistic services to widows, orphans and the less privileged. Every year, he provides scholarship to a number of children and assists widows to survive through consistent alms and engaging them in subsistence activities. He sunk a borehole in front of his compound that provides free water supply for the villagers. "The borehole is part of my contribution for development of my community so it is free for everybody in as much as you can come and fetch from it." More so, since he graduated from Indian religious studies, he has trained over 40 youths free on herbal related practices and how to produce candle, soap and oil. For the past seven years he has been sponsoring an annual football competition for the youths during Christmas time with a view to keep them off crime related activities during the season. Dr. Asuzu is also a financier of People Democratic Party (PDP) in Anaocha Local Government Area. He also mobilizes people into the party as a result of his charity works and contributions to the growth of PDP in Anaocha, which earned him recognition from that chapter. Good works cannot go without recognition. So Dr. Asuzu has identified himself with the needs of many. He is today honored with about 15 titles from traditional and religious bodies as well as institutions worldwide including a doctorate degree from the Pacific Christian University California, USA and Patron of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Awka, Anambra Chapter. There are images of different ethnic people round the globe in his house which he calls a cultural centre temple of arts and cross-culture of many origins. The temple soars some 50 feet into the silent village sky and radiates an aura of mysticism. 'It was designed by me through inspiration from a revelation I saw in a dream as God wants it to be,' he boasted. 'It is the ancient temple of the Most high and Absolute God, second to none in Africa. This is where the Ark of Covenant will be placed again; this is the New Jerusalem in existence where truth is the foundation.' He went on to say 'This comprises every spirit both in Africa and in the whole world.' According to his sources, the project period is seven years project and he Finished in 2012. 'I want to finish the first phase of the temple before opening the website for Dr. Ramas Cultural Centre. I promote all traditional religions, traditional cultural dance and all masquerades; this is the foundation of them all'. Perched in an eight acres land space, he commissioned one Baba Alfa, a Bini sculptor from the ancient people of Edo to carve every image he saw in his revelation and those his own imagination played up to make the centre a strange gallery of a sort for art lovers and a museum of another sort for curators apart from his dream of seeing himself as another Solomon charged to build will accommodate 'all spirits in the world.' According to the Holy Bible in 1st Timothy chapter 1 vs 20: I have delivered him and his followers unto Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. He and his followers are maggots. It is written you can't serve two masters at the same time. You can't serve God and mammon at the same time. He and his followers can serve God through Jesus Christ or they can serve idols but serving God and idols at the same time is blasphemy. I watched his documentary on NTA newsline this past Sunday and i decided to check the internet for more informations about him. He is an unrepentant vagabond lunatic anti christ rebel. |
